jus a lil tip, when you’re recovering broken trucks winch em in as close to your truck as you can. It makes it a lot easier to pull uphill and turn.

Yes and it makes it alot easier if you can repair just the engine an add fuel that away it'll run an help drive itself, makes a world of difference I was able to pull that white out with the starter scout Chevy 1500.

I totally agree man I wasnt going to get Snow Runner until I watched a couple play throughs on it the day it came out and I was completely & pleasantly surprised!! Now I have more tgen 70hours in it!!!!

A little tip for you > When leaving the Michigan garage, head left immediately (around the back of the garage), through the trees (right of the big rock), up the hill & you’ll totally avoid the first big mud hole when heading up the road.

You could have absolutely fix and refuel the White Western Star. You can't drive it but it makes it easier to drag it around if it is in working condition and has fuel. Also those stats of cars to find are bugged as far as I can tell or it actually subtracts trucks you can find but then sell or something. I'm stuck at 8/10 in Michigan and 2/5 in Alaska even though I found every free truck there is.

I clitterally cleared Michigan before moving on, all jobs (less the timed arcade ones) towed and sold all the trailers and removed all the cargo, leaving nothing but tire tracks, then gave a big FU with my fingers up out the window, flashing my lights and 'parpping' my horn as I entered the tunnel to Alaska! Just hope I don't have to go back ;\

White western star is my favorite truck in game. It not so good in mud like some crazy vorons/tayga, but it very stable on any road and just beautiful looks.

Get the raised suspension for the WWS and it'll go most places. Surprisingly capable truck.

Man it would have been nice to have that APC when I dragged the Western Star to the garage. I had to sell my fleet to buy a paystar and even then i couldn't get it past those rocks. Had to go up the hill to the side and drag it through the trees. Giant pita. I do like the Western star though, it has a lower center of gravity than other trucks and so seems well suited to hauling top heavy loads.

Tip>> Don't tow trucks bakwards, it'll either have the handbrake on or if you have it's engine running, it'll be pulling the opposite way!

The truck is pretty good if you get it in the early game, at this point in the game it's just Meh... At least he will be able to sell it with all it's upgrades.

Ok Scott. You need to give the Tayga a try. It literally replaced my Asov from level 11 and it has been my main workhorse and I'm now 24, still using it. Need to go mudding? Tayga. Need to tow something heavy? Tayga. Need to take a fully loaded 5 slot trailer up a steep hill through the woods? Tayga. Want to scout out an entire island? Tayga. Want to pull a new truck anywhere? Tayga. It does everything you need. It is THE truck to use.

always tow from front in game if vehicle is broken down if possible because the broken vehicles rolls way easier and follows your vehicle better

GameRiot is a road warrior,last time things were bad but the deliveries to that lumber mill are notorious for be the hardest in Alaska and you did the best you could. Every direct route for this place is a nightmare,the easiest way is to go through the snow but in the middle of the street between the fuel place and the bridge and there is a whole between the trees where a truck could get in and get out but CAT 745G is the best for it so it can't be done in one step. Long logs to there is an absolute nightmare because the snow shortcut doesn't seem to be possible. There are 2 direct ways there but they are both nasty with hard terrain.

THat White Western Star is the most capable truck early on. Great truck! Be sure to get that raised suspension ASAP so you can get the taller tires. The 47s make a huge difference.

Keep the tractor straight. when the tractor is at an angle it allows the trailer to tip.

There’s a shortcut. When you leave the garage (the starter garage) in Mich turn left and go up the hill to the road. You bypass the big mud pit lol.

I've been watching from the very start, but have been asking myself this question on every video. WHY DOESN'T SCOTT TAKE AN EXTRA TRUCK WITH THE WINCH, EITHER BEHIND THE LARGER LOADS THAT ARE SO DIFFICULT OR IN FRONT FOR THE EXTRA PULLING POWER? Its an old trick from Mudrunner, that helps with steep Hills, deep mud, snow, and water crossings with stronger currents. It saves you the rescue trip, and most of the time the winched vehicle helps slightly with the tipping issues you had in the last video. I play the crap out of this game and when possible, I'd rather have two trucks with flat beds winched together for 4 slots, than 1 truck and a trailer with 4 slots. Especially on the uneven terrain. Try taking your rescue vehicle with you on these longer tougher missions. (Coop works well enough even with the glitches, to do the same thing.)

Yes as other comments are saying, there is a glitch in the stats for Michigan trucks. I am 98% finished Michigan and there are no more trucks in the map but it says I have 8/10 which is the last two percent. Doesn’t look like Michigan can be completed to 100%

Soooo not true the best truck in the game is an American truck. An it's that way in the real world as well and Russian trucks are extremely poorly built, I'm a diesel mechanic for 11 years now and there's a reason you don't see a ton of USSR truck running around here and you do see a ton of American trucks in almost every other country in the world. 👌👍🤗😷 Not saying they don't make good trucks/cars, they do they just can't compare to 🇺🇸 trucks.

It is easier to tow vehicles if the vehicle is facing forward rather than trying to drag it backwards.

Don't bother trying to look for the 9th vehicle. It doesn't exist. The Western Star is the last one, but the profile is bugged and doesn't count it. I also have an issue on Alaska; I found all 5 vehicles, but it says only 2/5 found. There's definitely a few issues the developers need to address. Also, the ANK seems to be a really good truck for hauling cargo; you may want to test it out ;)

I'm amazed he managed to get the truck back up the hill. I got stuck at the rocks there and no amount of pulling would get it past. I even tried taking a truck with a heavy crane to try and give it a better angle. Of course I was using the Paystar for that not the Tuz, but it worked fine till that point. I ended up just going the long way around and coming back across the dam. I find the White Western Star to be somewhere between the Fleetstar and Paystar in terms of ability leaning more toward the Paystar side of it. Since all of the upgrades for that truck are found in the Michigan maps I was able to add the raised suspension, AWD, and diff lock as soon as I recovered it.

Completely hooked on this game and these videos! One thing you might have figured out by now, but you never top off the trucks your pulling with gas, so they can actually drive along with you instead of being purely dead weight! They keep trying to start the engine, but they´re always out of gas. Just a thought...

i used a russian off road truck the tayga 6436 to get the fixer upper mission done. i had to repair that whitestar and fuel it to get it out because my truck only had all terrain tyres so dragging that and a dead truck up a hill wasnt easy. so even the little bit of help the whitestar could give helped a lot. if i did it with off road or mud tyres though itd have been so easy.

Not sure if you are playing with a controller and if that changes things, but Automatic mode has a reverse in it. You don't have to put it in reverse.

I've been using this truck beside the Azov, because of it's speed. It is also a very capable truck, used it all the way thru Alaska. I have a question: did you actually (or someone) found a truck that is capable of having the crane installed with a flatbed and be able to tow a trailer? Is it even possible? Without mods ofc :)

Yep, the Azov 73210 is capable of having all 3, but it's nose is really low, so any dip will result in eating mud, however that didn't seem to slow it down as i was capable of staying it top gear all the time and from time to time getting stuck. Hope it works for you too.

That western star truck is one of the first I got and I used it for most of Michigan and so far all of the first map in Alaska and part of the second.....it's fantastic once you find the raised suspension the last engine upgrade and get the diff lock,off-road gear box and mud tires it will be slower in deep mud and water but I haven't been stuck in it yet running the flatbed and crane setup and using the winch to pull trailers. I have 17 trucks total at the moment and as much as I want to try others this one is just to much fun

It’s a glitch. There are only 8 vehicles in Michigan. Mine says 11/10 but that is definitely not right.

You should try some mods. But don't try any op mods that would ruin the series though for example: No recover mod. Gives you a challenge

From what I've tried with changing horns there is no audible difference when you swap to the other options... fun fact for ya that horn that sorta sounds like an ill duck is the universal horn sound for all the trucks in muddrunner. God awful sound especially when you can hear 2-3 ppl honking it constantly in MP & you can hear it no matter where you are on the map.
