Snowrunner is a strange game. It's not post-apocalypse, at all, it just refrains from letting you see any life other than you and your truck, even though you are constantly doing jobs for some living world inside the game's fiction. It was likely a practical decision in a game about driving the truck, and nothing else, but it left the player doing tasks for ghosts in a world where everyone seems to have been Raptured away except you. This guy managed to highlight that vibe, and the series is still one of the best pieces of gaming content I've seen.

Even if you suspend the disbelief with the world being completely empty besides speech bubbles when taking and completing contracts just the maps themselves tell a calamitous story. Perfectly normal roads just phasing in and out of existence, catastrophical damage everywhere you look.

Awesome, the melancholy vibe of your vids is fantastic, when you were pulling the white western star up the hill, I thought I was going to cry. LOL 😂🤣😂

This is the most chill/relaxing video game playthrough I've ever seen. The music, scenery, and the quiet commentary are all on point. Thanks for the fantastic content, I'll definitely watch the whole series.

Thanks for making these videos. I really enjoy watching them on a second screen while playing my main save, for some reason. The calm music works very well with the sparse commentary and no-nonsense approach. One thing your calm demeanor cannot blunt however is the traumatic memory of hauling that WWS up that exact route on the hill using a Fleetstar with the Service Addon on it. I probably spent an hour trying to get over those rocks, tipping the truck over twice and having to tip it back using the 1500 behind a tree.

I wish you could customize your difficulty as in tickboxes. For instance, I would like to have pay for fuel and empty fuel trailers when you buy them (so you can't cheese for free fuel with the trailer store). And half price on selling trucks is also nice to make it more difficult and strategic on what to buy/find. So instead I just play my own version as in roleplay but on normal. I can only skip time if I am close to a residency after I complete the job, I don't do trailer store fuel cheese and I only recover the vehicle if it's completely stuck and I can't winch it. Lesson learned when I wanted to take a P16 to the quarry in Smithville Dam with 1 trailer and an extra trailer hitched on the back. :D Could have used Fleetstar but was greedy. Will continue to watch your vids as I progress. I don't want spoilers so I wanna explore the maps myself but at the same time I wanna binge on all these vids. Do you play any more games?

Was trying to do the same with the AM38 Civilian and it was stuck in trees and rock. The Western was just NOT MOVING. I am currently proceeding to go alllllll the way around to catch the most eastern road. The AM38 has such bad fuel consumption I am being followed with a Scout 800 with the roof fuel mod. I don't even know what I am bothering that much this game just makes it worthwhile :D

On 19:00 rather than going through those rocks, I just go straight before the turn. There's a clearing through the trees that makes going up the hill very easy with a capable truck.

Pulling White Western up the hill is easier if instead of turning on the super sharp left turn, instead continue going straight forward through the trees up to the bigger road 18mins into video. Way easier especially with a heavy puller
@joshpayne73093 жыл бұрын
There is an easier way up the hill that avoids the rocky section. From the bottom of that path, veer left through a gap in some trees and you can just go straight up all the way to the road.
@evana1900 Жыл бұрын
Thank you I have spent hours trying to drag the western star up that path. He makes it look way easier then it is.
@JoshPayne Жыл бұрын
@@evana1900 up the windy path KnullModem uses you mean? Yeah that is not easy at all. The semi-hidden shortcut route, however, it easy with the right truck. Some trucks don't have enough power to get the western star up that hill, but it is a straight shot unlike the windy path. I can do it with a stock P12, just have to get past the steepest part by unhooking, driving up a bit, then winching the WWS up towards me. Only a couple times for the steepest section, the rest is no problem. But I've also done it with the Fleetstar with some upgrades, and even with the Transtar!

If one jumps in the transtar and puts it in nutral, it's way easier to pull and u almost don't need to winch it up the hill. On low gear it can almost make it all the way.

Hey, nice series you got there. Very relaxing and chill, although maybe the music is a bit too loud and your voice a bit quiet. Anyway, great work, I'm in love with this series! I was wondering: what happens if you run out of fuel in the fuel trailers? You have to pay for it at the gas station, sure. But that costs money. What if you run out of money? Is there a "game over" or something, since you have no money to move your trucks? I hope I was clear enough. Thank you!

I noticed, when you installed the upgraded engine on the P16 (A12V-850TTA), you didn't sell the A12V-780 engine that you uninstalled. Was this an oversight, or did you purposely not sell it? Thanks for making these videos. I love following along with you.
@KnullModem3 жыл бұрын
Keeping the original engine for the P16 can be worthwhile as the upgrade can be shared with the P12, P512, ANK and Derry 3194. The same goes for the Westline V12 M900 found in Alaska. If you hold onto the original engine it means you can freely swap between upgrades for which ever vehicle needs it at the time.

@DerGeistDesKriegers2 жыл бұрын
Saying the Transtar is useless isn't really fair, as soon as you got offroad tyres and can have some weight on the rear axle it is actually quite good. And getting weight on the rear axle is easy with either fuel tank or van body.
