It’s a off-road logging truck it’s a beast. Rare in real life these are. Pacific truck ended in the early 90s. This truck is a Pacific. Very rare these old trucks are. The P12 is a beast too.

About the P16's rack and the ring around the hitch, the P16 was built from the ground up as a heavy logging truck. The ring on the back was for the log cradle then you would have a trailer with a long telescoping tongue and another cradle over the wheels. When the trucks were running empty the trailer tongue was collapsed down and the trailer was placed on the back of the truck and the notch in the rack is where the tongue rested. The trucks are basically armored behind and above the cab to protect it from logs during loading or in a crash since these trucks carried way more weight than your average logging truck would.

I prefer the P12 over the P16. I feel like it's more useful- being able to attach to more trailers, and AWD is a huge advantage.

So happy there is a trailer coming for the P16 in the next update, don’t have to use that glitched ramped trailer with it. I think this might be the most faithfully represented truck in the game, videos and stories of these things in real life, they’re just absolute beasts - big, heavy, and unstoppable. And that horn, man I love that horn. I can’t remember, are the hummers still stuck in the rocks?

Yeah I can’t wait to try the trailer out and this thing can pull some serious weight so it should be fun! Yeah I get what you mean dude, I’ve seen some videos of this truck in real life and I think they’ve captured it very well and just let it be a big powerful beast without some pointless caps on it! I wish they’d slowly unleash a few more trucks! Not crazy, just up the power 5-10% on a few would be nice 👍🏻! Yeah they’re still in the rocks lol I’ll try and remember to do and update, I keep meaning to and keep forgetting lol

@@itsmrlonewolf I watched a video some time ago of a logging operation in canada and they were using one of these things to haul 130 tons of logs out, driver said some of the grades can get up to 20%. Hopefully when the Canada expansion comes out (at least I've heard that Canada will be on the list) we can have a go at some of that insanity.

Yeah...agree with you that med size truck to over powered to the point that we don't need large size truck. They need to make items heavier or at least reduce med size truck engine power. Btw, the reason Dev not make it awd might bcoze if you put awd, the power will divide to 4 section and it reduce the pulling power of the truck (I make experiment and reduce the engine power, it pulling power without awd is stronger than with awd). But yet they failed to execute it on the game since there's small chance you don't have enough power to pull something in game due too light the items you are pulling. Oh.. about the fuel add-on, yeah they write 12k fuel mass on it files while only 3,7k fuel mass on fuel trailer.

it’s a shame you can only connect massive objective trailers on the high saddle, it’d be more practical than to just tow stuff. I also wish the sideboard trailers had ramps like in mudrunner. it was painful seeing the antarctic tip over lol. Glad you and I share the same taste in trucks 👍🏻

P16 absoluut beast, u used is for all the special cargo on Michigan and Alaska. I just arrived at Russia and am exploring it now. First thing i bought whas a lo4f becouse its an god damn horse of a vehicle! The sad thing aboud the p16 is the saddle high that looks to be to high to tow anything smaller than special cargo trailers...

One thing I’ve noticed that is a bit weird, if you winch a truck that is rolled over and stalled then pull the winch, the wheels will be powered and spinning.

Can't wait to use this beast in the new Imandra map. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an AWD upgrade coming, since the Twin Steer is getting it. Like you said, it's not the most practical truck in the game, but it is great fun to use.

Yeah it’s a great truck to mess around in and I can’t wait to try the new map with it too 👍🏻! It’s possible, although someone said that in real life they don’t have AWD so who knows? If not I’m sure mods could sort that out! Yeah exactly there’s other stuff to get and use that is more practical, but there’s something nice about driving this big beast around 👍🏻

The p16 is definitely helped by the fact its tires have the best mud grip in the game also this apparently has a unique log trailer in the files. Also I'd say the p12 is heavier at least with the crane add on because nothing else with a heavy crane only drops down 1 tick everything else is 2 or more.

Also I used this for almost all the special objective trailers for the p16 I think 1 or 2 were left to something else one was the p12 the other might've been the white western.

Speaking of only rear wheel drive you should give the Voron Grad a go using only rear wheel drive. I've found that it can do almost anything just using that

@@drameday , I think, singular tires are better than dual. Each axle makes it's own path in the mud in case of dual rears, while singular rear just follow the paths made by front tires without making it wider

Its my favorite... I wish the saddle was more useful. Ive said it before and ill say it again....if the p16 cant get there, odds are you didnt need to be there anyway. Lol i think itd be op if they put awd on it honestly, but i do understand why you said that. Id like a touch more power, but ive gotten it in spots that gave scouts trouble. Long nose Kolob has more utility as it can tow the lowboy trailer and has AWD/diff lock but the P16 has a perfect loaf towing ledge and has a glorious horn so P16 wins lol

Yeah it’s a tough call really! I like both and they are both hauling machines! If there was a chunk of muddy off road stuff then I’d probably take the kolob! If it was mainly roads and dirt roads etc then I’d probably give the P16 a go!

@@itsmrlonewolf ive only just started the game and its the garage from building the old bridge you drive across the bridge to get to the first garage and you go behind mounains if i remember then you come across the lake and at the moment ive only got one truck

@@davidlacey4665 I think you're talking about the very first garage on the black River map, there is that little bit of water before the garage but even the starting trucks should be able to cross it no problem it's not deep, if you're still having trouble though just stay close to the outer edge of the water and you should have more traction
