Don't forget that putting some fuel into the truck you're towing helps a great deal - it'll drive itself to a certain extent and help with the traction. The "OUT OF FUEL" message is a bit of a hint there.

I think I would have put some fuel in the Ford as well, so at least it could have helped pull itself through some of the tight spots...

Also pull the winch in so the vehicle is close enough it doesn’t get snagged on as much scenery!

Not gonna lie, the fact Scott didn't use the repairs of the Yar to fix the suspension of the Tatarin and the F-750 as much as possible and didn't refuel the F-750 so it wouldn't be just a dead weight he had to drag along, did trigger me a bit xD

This truck took me 2 days to recover at a snail's pace, and gather the upgrades to make it useful. About 8 hours struggling to tow with the chevy ck1500 and wrestling with fuel limits. I didn't know the scout fuel tank was a thing at the time... I liked the 750 after upgrades, used it a lot to recover lost bricks in river type quests, and for repair and fuel utility vehicle. It struggles in deep mud and sand, but a decent jack of most trades.

even if the video is not recent, you may not know that all the scouts have as an upgrade the autonomous winch that works even with the engine off or broken down. another thing, when you tow a vehicle and the engine is running, do not leave it without fuel, because otherwise you are towing a dead weight, instead if it has fuel and the engine is running he will help you. another thing, when you tow a vehicle as close as possible to you, never leave the winch with the long rope.

Love this game, try out the other Derry longhorn 4520 for a heavy truck it's pretty speedy, has mud tires and the rear wheels help steer.

I can offer advice. The azov would be faster and easier than the tartarin. 10 wheel drive makes short work of all but the worst terrain. You will find that Ford to be extremly useful once you own it. Upgrades exist. You will find 2 on this map. There are more on the 2nd half of the map. If you want to see what they can do check out Mr. Lonewolf. Also this is not a scout. Its a full size truck. It will carry a semi trailer. The 10cyl engine upgrades are not yet availible. Its a very capable truck though. Honestly if you want an easier life fully upgrade a loaf. With soft compound balloon tires etc you will get through this faster. Love your videos. Keep up the great work.

Would remind you its easier to tow a vehicle when the engine is running. Say when fueled from a scout fuel trailer? That truck is a mobile fuel platform.

you should have driven 60 meters to the west and got the Tuz Acteone too.

I can tell you exactly why the Ford went over the cliff. Too much slack in the line. Should've pulled it in right close. I took that same route and kept a constant eye on that truck, and put it in Low. Went nice and slow. As for the F750, don't drive it until you get the Tuned Custom suspension and AWD. Due to the bugged engine, you won't get very far from the garage without them. I believe they're both in the northern half of the map. Center/West. Complete the Self Contained Antique task to get the recon scout trailer. You'll need it to find all the upgrades.

You might try out the Dan or the Azov 10 wheeler on this map, I find they're a lot better in that deep snow and since they adjusted the front end collision physics so they're not constantly catching their chins.

Took me 4 sessions to get that damn truck back, because it fell off the cliff as I tried to traverse it. Was challenging and rewarding when complete. But the kicker is....it did not save my progress from when it dropped off the cliff. SO i had to recover it twice from the bottom of the cliff. I was angry.
