The new map is gorgeous, the Northern Lights at night look amazing.. it's definitely my new favorite map.. I'm very impressed by the ice mechanics and how it breaks around you etc. it's by far the toughest map to traverse thru.. roads that are mapped are definitely not always the best route and picking your vehicle it's weight seems to be very important, and now the snow tires really to make or break some of the missions I'm learning.

What struck me the most about this map was weirdly the músic and ambiance. Absolutely fantastic, great distraction rrom how flipping difficult this map is. I tried to hop right into it after months of not playing due to medical reasons and I was woefully unprepared.

Drive it. This is still Siberia btw. And as a canadian who knows the look of forests and frozen lakes in winter I can assure you it is extremley realistic. As for ice. Rocks are shallow water and safe. Deep thick blue ice is safe. Clear, transparent ice is thin. Those lakes might be 20 feet deep. Yes keep going. As for the next thing I'd do? Grab a Teyga or a voron vrad and a fuel trailer. I would grab a fully upgraded loaf with a scout fuel trailer and drop at the far side of the map from the garage. But that's me. Though fuel carrier teygas are very top heavy. A pulled repair/fuel trailer combo might be very smart. Just don't drown it. 😂😁

There's also a special trailer that's pretty much a mobile watchtower and it can only be carried by scouts and uses fuel after each use

So far I've found that one of the best vehicles for that map is the Azov Antarctic. The tires are large enough that breaking through ice isn't really a problem. It can just chug along till the ice gets more solid then climb back out. Of the new trucks, the Tuz 16 seems pretty good, but I hate the Ford F750. Even with the largest engine and offroad transmission it seems very underpowered. Often doesn't even want to move in auto and I have to shift it into low to get it going. The good news is that when you drop off the F750, the Tuz 16 is very near that. I found it by looking at the map just after dropping off the ford.

Because I love the exploring aspect of the game I decided for this map I wouldn’t use any watchtowers to unlock the map. That was so much more fun than using the watchtowers

I have tried collecting the ford 750 with various vehicles and either got stuck or ran out of fuel, i think the best approach is a truck with a fuel tank on the back, they have definitely upped the difficulty on the new map

Love the map, do not get me wrong, but wish there was more delivery missions, too many of the missions were to just drive to points. Love the new radar trailer, its pretty cool, however 20L of gas per scan is a bit much. lol
