I've really enjoyed this DLC because, as you said, you can use a variety of trucks in your garage versus only the top tier ones. The variety is fun. It's nice to have a relatively chill map. The farming is tedious though. I really liked the idea and was excited for it- I think it's great they tried it...but yeah, in actual practice it's maddening driving around center steer big 4WD tractors. 2WD row crop tractors would've been more fun, I think. Maybe not though. Anyways, I would guess the first release in Year 3 is probably going to be a tough one. Would be great if we got some kind of a dozer to clear snow/rocks!

Amur would be vastly better and it would add longevity with a dozer. Even if for the rocks. Although the terrain reloads when you leave and come back so would need some Dev tweaking!

I think this is the best DLC we’ve gotten. It’s peaceful, nice terrain for using multiple trucks, all 4 maps are super balanced. The overall maps just look and feel perfect.

Interesting, I really enjoyed it but the potatoes do get a bit samey towards the end. Though the farming is peaceful!

This map is a great place to start I’ve been using NG+ with hard mode settings lvl 30 random truck addon and tire availabity. I started with a jeep with all terrains and stock upgrades and a pike with mud tires and stock upgrades it’s been the most enjoyable time I’ve ever had in this game since my first completion of Michigan. I can’t wait to take the tractors to one of the other maps

Best explanation of snowrunner EVER!!! You are driving big rigs from A to B, that is it really.. The devs didn't do much with the game... I'm so disappointed 😞 But I've heard they are working on a new offroad game... Hopefully it will be something better then Snowrunner 🙏

I'm curious to hear that's next, Dakar Desert Rally looks great and has interesting physics and dynamic weather. A bit of that and some extra variety would be great in whatever comes next!

@@stleo6069 I think phase 8 is utter rubbish. If I had wanted to play a farming game I would play farming simulator. I do love snowrunner but I think the Devs have lost the plot of the game and cannot be bothered with it anymore.

Phase 8 just brought in another, more involved, job; actually getting to do the behind-the-scenes of the load we drive. I'd actually love more of that...! HOWEVER, no more of those ridiculous stupid generators that eat more fuel than Rosie O'Donnell does cupcakes Lol -modded fuel truck with 2500gal, along with a modded generator with 530gal, made that nonsense somewhat tolerable-

Definitely lookin forward to Glades 🙂 The funnest time I've had in Snowrunner was in Michigan and Alaska. They're a bit challenging, but chill though...and the tasks really aren't repetitious. And there's a bit of variety; as in, grab this this and that, and deliver to this place or places. If you've gotta good trailer pack mod, it REALLY makes doing large missions so much more fun. You feel like you get something done.

I really enjoyed Season 8 overall. the farming, while being novel at first did become tedious, but no more so than a deliver 6 long logs across 3 maps contract would be. also tried out the Rezvani and the new Western Stars, like them too.

kirovets-7M isn't suitable for farming for 1st 2 tasks: plowing (harrowing) and seeding. its atrocius turning circle with double tires, make it infuriating to use. while harvesting potatoes its easier than using kirovets-700. since it won't wheeling, if there small incline in way

Just hope that season 3 has lots of ...........SNOW isn't that what this game is ment to be I don't mind the first 1 or 2 maps being mud so you can start the game ( mud runner ) then the hole focus should be snow ice and more snow

You realize the amount of mud regions to snow regions is almost even 5 snow to 6 mud considering we’ve had 2 mud regions for the past 2 dlcs we’re getting a snow region next to bring us to 6/6 possibly even 2 snow regions

Could have done without the farming, replacing tractors with actual trucks that would be useful in other maps for objective gameplay.

Phase 8 was a nice pace overall. Really enjoyable missions and terrain, though truly not a fan of the farming and how much of it is needed to create all the potats. I don't mind the idea, but the execution is a bit crap with both tractors understeering so drastically, especially with the trailers on. I've basically finished all but the potato/farming missions now and tbh don't think I'll bother to finish them. If the tractors drove a bit nicer I could actually see myself enjoying the farming missions as they would be a little more satisfying to neatly do rows and make a challenge in trying to get it perfect. It ends up being just frustrating often not being able to neatly farm the plot because the turning circle is so bad and you have to do some ridiculous wide loop just to get the front around and hit 100%.

Just gettin' through to the end o' Season 7 & 8. Tennesee shoulda bn a standalone Monster Truck Racing Game. The Glades had someone "mic drop" Farming Simulator into it. Season 7 & 8 aren't yer father's SNOWRUNNER. The Farming Sim' comprises fully 1/3rd of a "Season". You'll be constantly dragging tractors & farm implements bn maps & fields therein. For every Contract/Task that requires "2 Potatoes" ? You'll have to work a farm field. That means you'll have to cultivate (till) it, seed it; harvest it. Ea. harvested field only yields 2 Potatoes. So if, as the Bulk Loading Contract req's. 8 Potatoes ? You'll have to "work" a field 4 times. A colossal waste of gamer's time "wash, rinse; repeat. Time & time again. Till, seed; harvest repeat. It gets maddening. The Farming Sim' acts as a "playwall". You can't get around it. I still have "grayed out" vehicles/trlrs. that I can't seem to activate !? Because I haven't grown enuff POTATOES !? In closing ? I want to thank "A Tribe Called..." I thought I was the only one in my consternation.
