Don't be so rough on yourself about the silicone. We all forget sometimes, no getting away from it. Just put a note on the steering wheel of the Bobcat to spray. Done. You're getting a lot of snow there for sure. I'm in southwestern Nova Scotia and hardly got any snow here all winter. Really weird. Our winters are fairly mild anyway but this winter is nuts. The northeastern part of the province got hit really really hard. People trapped in their homes and can't even get out to dig out. Plows are coming in from everywhere to help. I remember one winter, I think it was 2003, in Newfoundland, a snow storm came out of no where, no warning and actually buried the snow plows.. You sure had a Murphy's Law that day. LOL

With low coolant and high oil I'd be checking to make sure you don't have a coolant leak into your oil. A blown head gasket near a water jacket can leak water into the oil and you won't know it until the motor blows. It would be wise to check the oil by draining it or have a pressure test on the coolant system. There's something wrong with the fan on your blower it's not turning fast enough to blow the snow. Either the belts are slipping because that blower fan should throw that snow a lot farther. Maybe the fan not blowing properly is why the chute is clogging up. If that fan is powered by hydraulics you've got a problem with hydraulic pressure which may be a pump issue. Regardless that blower fan is going way to slow
@maraudermitchelli
@maraudermitchelli 4 ай бұрын
Your suggestions are excellent. If there was water in the oil it would turned milky white or off white in color...at least that's what I've experienced as I've had water in my oil before on another machine. The impeller is hydraulically driven and the machine is providing the proper amount of pressure. i think most of this issue is the blower is stored in a warm garage then hits the cold snow which sticks to the unit. I'm parking the machine outside now we'll see if the blower performance improves. Thank you for trying to help great comment.

When you go past your sons truck or another vehicle. There is the option to push snow as a snow pusher and turn off the hydraulics so the screw is off. 20 feet the length of the truck should be short enough distance to push snow without the blow screw to not cause too much windrow. This keeps the truck cleaner. Then when your blow chute gets to the end of the truck you can turn the screw hydraulic back on.

Speaking from experience....blowers on a skidsteer or track loader are the biggest waste of money. Mine is a 10 plus year old set up ...and it's worthless in more than 5 or 6 inches of snow....Say nothing about heavy wet snow. Nice to know things haven't improved with newer ones 😆

Jake you should watch my blizzard videos from last year my blower does quite well especial if I'm not operating it....I hear you though a shaft drive like on my previous tractor was pretty nice but much noisier and harder to install and more work to maintain. Let the machine warm up outside for a good 15-20 minutes.. The shute may be clogging because its warm from being inside the garage. let it "chill" outside while the machine warms up.

For my driveway I prefer a snowblower, I have a snow pusher for my JD 5090M and we have several plow trucks. I like that a snowblower can place the snow and there are no piles of snow. Also a snowblower works very well around vehicles. I thought of getting a push blade for the Bobcat...we'll see. Be safe and thank you for commenting.

When strong wind is a factor like this time , go to the end from where the wind is coming from and don't blow the snow into the wind. On your driveway you should have started just as you came out of the garage went for the right side and turned the chute to blow to your left . Turn around on the street go back towards the house with the chute blowing right. I would have in starting at your house did your shovelling then come out of the garage and have the chute left facing and turn around come back chute facing right and them do the driveway. Work with the wind not against it!

My machine (low flow) throws snow 2-3 times farther than what you’re showing. So is the blower matched to the machine?
@maraudermitchelli
@maraudermitchelli 5 ай бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean by matched please elaborate. This blower is recommended by Bobcat for my T66 loader. At peak performance it throws the snow as in the thumbnail maybe 25-30 feet a little less than my tractor. It also depends on what type of snow. Please help thank you
@tsirron
@tsirron 5 ай бұрын
@@maraudermitchelli by matched meaning, the blower requires a certain gallon per minute of oil, the bobcat needs to be able to supply that amount. My clapped out CAT 80hp 13gpm and the blower needs 11-20gpm will throw snow up to about 40-60feet at full throttle, that is good snow,but very wet snow 10-15 feet. If Bobcat matched the blower it must be correct. And yes you can watch the fuel gauge drop.
