Seriously, you won't regret the PB1000. There are two bass boost levels; Put it this way, we can't even use the bass boost option because without it already has a lot of bass! That said, we are upgrading to the ultimate soon though, but we LOVE our PB1000!

Only the Ultimate has wi-fi and both have bluetooth- if you ask me if you can connect these 2 speakers together- then the answer in short is NO - but there is a way thru the daisy chain or thru the smartphone media output where you can connect 2 different devices. Cheers

Hello, AudioTribe needs your advice because you are the king when it comes to JBL. I have a Jbl partybox 1000 and I'm thinking about selling it and buying a Jbl 710. What is your opinion, is the 710 actually louder and what is the bass situation? The 1000 is a bit rumbly and I like juicy, deep bass, will the 710 meet my expectations?

The 710 definitely is better sound and the bass is deeper and softer too. So if you usually used at higher volume you will be very satisfied with the 710. And the app support is also a plus point so by tweaking on the equalizer below 75% volume the bass can be significantly boost and you can feel the thunder and rumbling bass which you missed on the 1000 passed 60%+ volume (i don't mean 100 have less bass)

If I were to try and build a home speaker with similar power and functionality, it will definitely cost more and would be much bigger in size. It might sound better depending on personal preference, but building such systems is not a cheap endeavour.

Damn about two weeks ago I saw the JBL PartyBox 1000 on sale for $997. I went ahead and bought two of the 710s because they were only $689 the ultimate was just way too expensive at $1700 but looking back I’m wondering if I should’ve got two of the JBL party box 1000 at that $997 lol however the 710s for our house is plenty of loud I was just curious how much more power the party Box 1000 had over the party Box 710? From what I understand the 710s have more of a balanced sound than the 1000 have just a little more bass but I’m not sure. that’s the way they explained it to me in the store But that price of $997 for a party box 1000 was damn good lol but for $689 after tax I came out just under 1500 for the pair of party but 710s that was just too good of deal to pass up. That same store has the 310s on sale right now for $489 each.

Using 2x710s for a year, the price was 662 eur each, now its on sale for 499 eur. For the price the sound is incredible, i can't imagine using something more powerful, so so happy with it.

Just a question please, does the JBL Partybox Ultimate need breaking in? Can we just enjoy the volume up straight off when we get it? I have a question regarding the volume, so I have my IPhone 15 pro max on around 70% volume and the Partybox Ultimate on 70% volume, so would that be the true volume or should I have my IPhone 15 pro max volume on 100% and have the Partybox Ultimate on 70%? Sorry a weird question but just curious what everyone else does.

The speaker takes the volume directly from the prone, so if the prone is at 70%, the speaker will be at 70%. Only some of the samsung speakers don't take the volume from the phone directly. Cheers

@ Ok, but what if Phone is 70% but speaker is only 70%?. I ask this as when the volume is set on phone I have further adjust directly on the speaker, it goes louder on the speaker adjustment while phone volume is already set. I assume the phone and the speaker have to options to adjust volume. So is the phone the master volume or the speaker? For example if I set speaker volume to only 50% it’s stays on that volume regardless of me adjusting the phone volume. Both the volumes on the phone and speaker don’t adjust at the same time .

the two front speakers are woofers , they don't play low , but i'm surprised that the 12 inch subwoofer couldn't keep up with the two 9 thats for sure .

Once at a Party someone had the same JBL speaker. And everyone was pissed that he had the free version of youtube and spotify with commercials. Everyone making fun of owner of speaker could not afford to pay for premium. He Got upset that whats the big deal he can afford it but just hates wasting throwing his money away to greedy corporations. Then why did you pay so much for a JBL speaker. He ended up letting someone else connect their phone to it and not have the ads interrupt the party. 😂

In my experience tweeters seem to break much easier than other speakers. If you hear crackling/popping/scratching. You probably need to replace it.

Absolutely as I mentioned in the comments I have two of the 710s and both of them in TWS sound better than any single ultimate or 1000. And the price of two of my 710s was still less than a single ultimate. One thing a lot of people don’t realize is you cannot put the ultimate party box in TWS mode without Wi-Fi it does not have a TWS button in the back and I am one of these individuals that do not have Wi-Fi in my house I use my iPhone for everything so if I had put down $3672 after tax for two party box ultimates I would have been pretty pissed off once I got them out of the box and realize I would have to daisychain them together and I would miss out on true wireless stereo that’s something a lot of people need to realize . and there will be instances if people take these outside somewhere and they want to hook them up to a power source if there is no Internet the ultimate cannot deliver inTWS they have to be daisychain together and it will only deliver in mono . as great as JBL is they dropped the ball on that aspect in my opinion just like they dropped the ball where you can up Bluetooth more than two speakers together in TWS but yet with their little smaller speakers they sell they say you can pair up to 100 of them together which I think is pretty stupid when you can’t even pair for large speakers together. Just imagine how great 4 710’s or ultimate switch sound in a large room and all four corners of the room or if you could pair even more speakers than that and have a couple of 310s mounted high up in the room on the side along with them? But unfortunately with JBL you can only pair two speakers together not unless you have the little smaller boom boxes like the Extreme 3 or whatever and stuff they have like that which you can pair up to 100 of which as I mentioned before is kind of stupid because you’re not gonna have people do that more than likely. It would be nice if JBL could come up with some type of device that you paired to your phone and let’s say it is a type of Bluetooth splitter box for all their party box speakers that could pair as many large speakers as you want together , or at least up to 6 of them , that’s hypothetical but that would be pretty awesome? Not unless they can do some type of update with their party box app where you can put four speakers together but I don’t know if that would be possible?
