@timrobinson65733 жыл бұрын
It's not ease. She has trained REALLY hard to sing like that. It's extremely difficult to learn to sing like this and requires constant training and practice. It's why you don't see any other singers like her. This style used to be popular long ago in operatic singing but no one but her does it anymore.
@thevoicewithin98452 жыл бұрын
@@timrobinson6573 I wouldn't say no one but her but, certainly she is one of a rather few, unfortunately. I mean, its not unfortunate to her as she stands out along with the other few artists that can sing in this style. But it's unfortunate that artists, especially modern pop artists, tend to rely on sound effects like auto tune to correct their voice. This is why I love metal. Within the metal genre, there are so many great vocalists that literally shit all over even the best of the pop stars we have today. That being said, there are still some rather talented pop singers... Lady Gaga is actually very good live but she isn't as consistently good as you'Id hope. But when she's good, she's brilliant. Adele too, although her songs are 10 times more depressing than any 'slit you wrists' metal song I've heard. Lewis Capaldi is actually exceptional live and is also a friend of a friend so I'm perhaps slightly biased haha but he is really good! Pink! too, saw her live and she genuinely rocked. Although, one could argue she isn't actually pop at all and more rock. But still... Whereas, metal has Amy Lee, Ivan Moody, Corey Taylor, Miles Kennedy, M Shadows, David Draiman and that's just to name a few. There are sooooo many exceptionally talented female metal singers but of course none are able to top Amy when she's performing at her best. Just incredible 😍 👏

Unfortunately youth pop culture and the music they produce and listen too is a direct reflection of the dumbing down, de-evolving narcissistic shallowness of todays youth. Trap rappers with songs that repeat Gucci over and over…it’s just pure shit! I’m actually disgusted by what our society has become, it’s like majority of the population have lost there bloody minds. Everyone blames social media, but that’s bullshit. Social media has just revealed our true nature. If anything is to blame, I’m confident that it’s truly one thing: Our Food. The shit people shovel into their mouths and their kids mouths is poison. I’m aware most people will roll their eyes, but those of us in the know, who have the knowledge, who have studied the research, can draw a direct correlation. If anyone who is reading this, who is either a few pounds over weight, or an obese beast like the sisters from TLC program, or even if your skinny, but feel run down and depressed and anxious and stressed, and want to absolutely turn your life around, your health around, or just want to feel “normal” again, get rid of your brain fog, I can promise you the answer/solution, is actually incredibly simple and 100% effective. The American diet of highly processed highly caloric fat, sugar, and simple carbs along with near absence of fresh brightly colored veggies and dark leafy greens is akin to pouring sand into the gas tank of a high performance Porsche engine…it will begin to run poorly, and over time it will get worse and worse until it eventually ceases up and breaks down. Then it must be rebuilt, if possible, depending on the amount of damage, and if it can be rebuilt, it will need high octane 93 fuel to keep running at peak performance. Our bodies are no different, but unfortunately when our internal bodies engine is damaged beyond repair, it’s game over…unlike a Porsche, that can be replaced, life is not replaceable. Of course, life is unpredictable, the most health conscious person is not guaranteed a long life…life is unpredictable, and hazardous. We all know the uncle who smoked 3 packs a day, drank a 12 pack a day, and a pound of bacon and lived to be 95…but quality of those 95 years, mentally, emotionally and physically was probably less than optimal. Healthy eating is the one thing we can have absolute control over in our lives, and it’s not as difficult as people think. My diet consist of 3/4 veggies and dark greens, healthy omeg 3 and 6 seeds, and half cup deep red/blue/black berries. The other 1/4 is red meat, cheese, pasta, bread. A couple chia lattes with almond milk. Then sporadically ice cream, candy, chocolates, some salt and pepper kettle chips. I love a Detroit style pepperoni bacon 2x cheese with some iced cinnamon sticks, a whole box of white cheddar Mac and cheese with extra shredded cheddar added…I love lasagna too, full of fatty cheese and fatty ground beef/pork. I love big grilled cheese burger with basket of hot steak fries. I love a firehouse prime rib sub, the largest one…I love foods like that, and when I have em, I don’t hold back, I stuff my face. I also love an apricot/apple redbull. The one in orange can. Omg, so good! that’s a couple times a month treat…Moderation is key to life, and with food, getting into a healthy routine, where your 75% food intake is veggies and greens and high fiber fruit/seeds, with some Adderals mixed in, and then eat whatever hell you want, as long as it’s not processed…stay away from processed foods except for occasional once in a while snack. Now, I’m actually not a big veggie/greens person, in fact I’ve hated vegetables since a kid. But back when I was a kid in the late 80’s 90’s eating what I wanted was not an option, as my parents weren’t like today’s pushovers parents who want to be the kids “buddy”. My parents were the LAW, and that meant playing or working (chores) outside till dark, eating foods from our garden or my grandparents farm up the road. Early bedtimes, very little television, and no video games…my mom Would go over my homework every god damn night during school… I know crazy right. Back then, fat kids were a rarity, one in 30 probably. And more like “husky” kids, not obese like today’s. And somehow, we all survived those times, we somehow managed to never be bored. My childhood memories involve a lot of time spent listening to great music, for hours every night…replaying my favorites, trying to figure out the lyrics, and what they possibly mean. Omg, so much awesome music…the oldies from the 60’s, 70’s , that my parents grew up on, the Beatles, and beach boys, and Wiley Nelson and Waylon jenning, th. Singer song writers like Gordon lightfoot and Jim Cache, and my Michigan grown bob segar….the stories they told, sparked my imagination, and shaped my emotional development…the 80’s love ballads, turned me into a hopeless romantic, day dreaming about my grade school crushes all day at school, then at home listening to love songs with the most beautiful inspiring messages, which inevitably had a huge impact on my sense of self, and worth, and most importantly my ability to express and communicate emotional vulnerability. Of course I wouldn’t understand any of this until much later in life, but music and art have played a crucial life, and an artist and a musician, the songs of my youth and adulthood are interwoven into my consciousness and how I connect with the world and my relationships….hmmmm…🤔 🤔🤔kinda forgot what I was commentating about. Oh yeah, how shity today’s music and youth culture is. I know everybody grows up to think to that the latest generation is hopelessly awful, but seriously they are almost unbearable. I’m pretty damn narcissistic myself, hence the essay I’m currently writing here, but jesus these kids today…they call 30 year olds boomers, and that’s just so annoying. Like no one existed before them, it’s utterly pathetic. But I digress 🤦🏼♂️

I'm so tired of being here Suppressed by all my childish fears And if you have to leave I wish that you would just leave 'Cause your presence still lingers here And it won't leave me alone These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears And I held your hand through all of these years But you still have all of me You used to captivate me by your resonating light Now, I'm bound by the life you left behind Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams Your voice it chased away all the sanity in me These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears And I held your hand through all of these years But you still have all of me I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone But though you're still with me, I've been alone all along When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears And I held your hand through all of these years You still have all of me, me, me

I agree, but I don't know if it's possible to compare male rock singers to females. They bring different things to the table. Obviously, it's great that we get to hear both, but I'm just more drawn to a lady's voice. Just a personal taste. I wasn't calling anyone wrong for liking someone better, only for implying that Amy is somehow undeserving of her status, which, by the way, is nowhere near the level of Mercury's (nor will it ever be), so you can rest easy.

I’ve always heard acoustic versions of this song on piano. It’s nice and refreshing to hear it on guitar.

am i the only one who hates that they split up? They wrote some sick/kick ass songs, some of the best of the 2000s. shame shame shame
@rozaya84769 жыл бұрын
They did not split up. Amy had a baby. Smiles.

maria maes Ben Moody and Amy Lee created Evanescence in 1995 and they split up in 2003 during the tour for Fallen. They had a really nasty fall out to. Ben Moody is not her husband.

Amy Lee is so damn gorgeous. I am into Gothic chicks and she is the queen of that style. And she's only 37 in 2019 same age as me, she is still as gorgeous as ever. And that voice has not diminished.

I am devastated over their bitter split. How can they make this music together and then have nothing to do with each other. Ben would like to reconcile but Amy will have nothing to do with it.
@chrismhp10 жыл бұрын
We don't know exactly how they feel about it today. But it was Ben's decision to leave. We'll never know exactly how bad it got between them but they were two creative heads bumping into one another with different visions, which can result in some of the worst kind of conflict; something had to give. It would've never worked out if they got that miserable. I'm just grateful they gave us what they had in those years together, and catapulted Evanescence to light. Maybe one day they'll finally reconcile, maybe not. If they ever do, I would hope they make any amount of music together again, as two friends and not as Evanescence; the way it began, I suppose.

Chiros Ie Its not really any of our business about their personal lives.
@chrismhp10 жыл бұрын
bayley waters No, it isn't. I agree. Any of what I know is from what Ben and Amy have said themselves publicly. Was only expressing my wish that they someday might make music together again.

+Banana 9000 Actually it is our business about their personal lives because they let their personal lives destroy what could have been one of the greatest bands to ever be.
