This video is about how did i take this picture.
This was a one photo photoshoot, we needed just this single shoot but it turned out to an adventure!
We planned this photoshoot long time before: red dress, red Torii opened to Mt Fuji and white fresh snow around. The thing is that the weather in Japan and around Fuji is unstable. We were checking the weather every day since January to find the sunny morning after the snowstorm.
I recommend the website live.fujigoko.... to check the live webcam around Kawaguchiko lake to check the real situation.
We left Tokyo at 6am when it was still night. We checked the live cameras on our way to Fujisan ready to go back if Fujisan was covered by clouds.
At 7:18 we still were unsure if there were clouds around Fuji, this mount is so unpredictable 😂
Finally we saw Fuji with the 🌞 So happy!
When we arrived to Fujikawaguchiko, there were so much snow everywhere. On the final path to the red Torii place my car was stuck in snow. It wasn’t safe to continue so we park the car in the forest and walk up to the Tenku no Torii on foot 1,5 km. The scenery was just amazing. Red Torii covered by snow, white forest and bright blue sky- that’s why I love winter in Japan!
In 30 minutes we were at Tenku no Torii, the view was spectacular🗻⛩️
☝🏻If you want to take pictures on your camera here you need to purchase an annual photography permission at Kawaguchi Asama Shrine. For smartphones the pass no needed.
I always try the different angles to have a variety of pictures.
Me and the model Victoria we are always ok to go to a deep snow because we are well prepared! Victoria has a heat patches and jeans under her dress🤫
9-30 we are done. Let’s go all the way down to the car. Kawaguchi Asama Shrine is also very beautiful when covered by snow.
We decided to go to Oishi Park. Oishi Park is always beautiful. Today with snow park looks like a futuristic fantasy. I had a feeling I was on the other planet. In few minutes snow started to melt down.
The next stop - Chureito Pagoda 忠霊塔 covered by snow. Many people assume that Chureito Pagoda is an ancient symbol of Japan, but surprisingly, it was built in 1963 only. 400 steps up from Arakura Sengen Shrine and few more iconic pictures with Mt Fuji.
Many thanks to my friend and model Victoria (Instagram @victoria_krasa) who was my companion for this adventure!
