With the hail marry you need to eject earlier. The momentum will carry you upwards for a bit while your character sorts out the animation. Thus letting you pull parachute at max height

That's part of it but the main thing to do is to level out the car before you bailout. Then your character won't flail.

If you have not seen the first Gfred yet I highly recommend it. What a chaos

Conservative play is always the king in low grip Gfreds. It might be worth it to hang about in the initial area if you see people run away with good spawns like 9fs, it seems like it was less timeloss than running off at SportsCar Rd. and you get the benefit of getting the good car to use throughout the most possible track (as opposed to getting it midway and using it through only half).

Happy Belated 33rd Birthday Adam... I hope you had a good one pal... I went back to have a look at your time from the second you set foot on the highway... The timestamp on KZbin was 4:06... When you finally got in your car... Your position was 25/28... And the timestamp was 5:00 exactly... Some 54 seconds later... Your finishing time was just under 30 seconds behind Verdilith... So you could have won your Birthday Gfred with more than 20 seconds to spare... If only you could've gotten your car on the highway pretty much straight away... But second place is still a great effort from being so far back mate... Cheers. 🍺

I just brought a Bullet after not owning one for a long time. Anybody noticed Rockstar changed the engine sound of the car? I hate it. I loved the Bullet's old sound, it had a unique engine sound that sounded unlike anything else in the game, and I personally loved how it sounded. Despite the car having next to no chance of winning, I would sometimes race it just to hear the engine. It used to have a absolutely amazing sound. Now the Bullet has a boring engine note. It sound just like any other super car now. What the heck happened to it's original engine sound? It went from epic to meh.

GFRED SUMMARY SERIES Gfred #268: SnowPH-red: A 2D Birthday Present . . . . SPOILER ALERT After a nice snowy Race in the Asea, it’s time for Gfred. He also told Turbo to stop with his Honking. Nate said “I'm oblivious... adding Happy Birthday wishes to my resub!” He decided to start the race in the Snowy Fieldmaster since he wanted to use Snowy Cars whenever he can, they aren’t in PH usually. Evinco subbed “One and a half...years o.o” And yes, the Snow have arrived… whenever they wanted it in PH. He’s now waiting for Dinmite’s ridiculously long ping to start. The theme today is the GTA 1 Traffic, featuring cars Vanilla and PH Add-ons. Dinmite used the cursed source of GTA Wiki to figure out everything. And we do the usual PH Rule of No Single Player Spawns. He then struggled a bit to find the Start Button. It’s definitely a carnage before we even get off the Gfred Island with these massive Tractors around. He realized too late and he can drive them a bit further instead of bailing as soon as he’s in water. While TDD is passing as he plays bumper cars in the water. He had a bad start, close to Last here. And yes, we do the classic Birthday SnowFred for the early SnowFred on PH. Snow Season officially begin and Broughy love it in GTA. Now he had to figure out which GTA V car that is in GTA1, as he has no idea what the cars are too. And yes, SnowFred Rules are only applied in Vanilla GTA. Phil said “Is there a better source than GTA Wiki??” as Broughy plugged gtacars.net even though it’s V only. And people took too long to unleash the Dad Jokes too. XDW said “!daddyjoke” He got one with the Ocean. He forgot what happened in the last BirthdayFred and he said he did two of them. Did he win the 2nd one even though it’s impossible today. He thinks he did it badly on the First one and won on the Second, at least did well there. To answer Ronin Storm’s Question, yes, he did one SnowFred at every platform. He was talking about the Birthday ones specifically. And yes, he’s 33 years old now. Broughy got impaled by an Impaler, but he ignored a Greenwood to try stealing a Kanjo which Squirrels snatched and he instantly regrets it. Skilled took the opportunity for it. That impaling hurts him and he feels like Penguin will kick him out from the 2nd Kanjo. And then it gets confusing where both of them got kicked out. He settled for a Greenwood which just Crabwalk out of the way. He spotted a GTO when he's aiming for Impaler and of course he missed both since he hesitates. Luckily, two NPCs walked in front of the GTO, stalled it enough for Broughy to steal it. Now he asked whether the GTO is AWD on PH. Mnieh and Sins also got themselves a GTO. XDW said “AND NO BUMPY NONSENSE” He had a really bad start though. Got to keep in mind that grip is minimal from the snow. He already gained a lot into the Quarry, which is undone since he drives into the Dumps at the checkpoint. Now exit the Quarry safely then launch down the Highway. TS Nobody said “A birthday present from the NPC” He doubt he can win, but he can get a nice little comeback at the first SnowFred of the year. The Speed Difference is immense. Though the NPC aren’t kind to him initially. Sciss said “Birthday Rigging”, Broughy still take it though. Then there’s a random Kanjo shuns itself to the right in front of Broughy. The AI is always dodgy in the snow, as he perfectly squeezes through the Sidewalk of the Hospital. Then he almost lost control underneath Olympic Freeway. However, AcAir squeezed him into the path of a Hauler in South Central while he got hit by a Bobcat right after it. Then Mark shuns him with the F620 at the Arena. This is so sketchy. He got jammed between Penguin’s Kanjo and Mark onto the Airport. Broughy decided to back off to prepare for the Jump. But Penguin hit Left Hand Dap’s F620 onto the Railing, then Mark hit Niklas’ Kanjo which led him and Penguin to hit an Impaler, blocking the way and screwed over Broughy’s jump. And Mark blocked Broughy’s attempt to squeeze him causing Broughy to hit a pole and missed the ramp. Now he lost all the time he gained. Then on the actual Jump, he knocks off Turbo’s Infernus Classic’s Underbody. Luckily both Survived, barely. Broughy almost went off the edge while Turbo might explode if he didn’t land on the wheels. Turbo take them both out as revenge. It’s been an accident indeed. He failed to land on the Terminal, but he dodged that Billboard right under it as well as breaking a lamp without knocking over the pole. It is beautiful indeed. He didn’t have enough grip to get through the Bottleneck Chicane cleanly though. Alright, it’s Chiliad time, where it can go a little wrong. Especially in the snow where he had to navigate around a palm tree, an electric box, and hiding a Bobcat’s stupid maneuver. Trecool said “Chiliad is the great equalizer!” He’ll go Goldilocks/Elevator as he thinks Hotlap is impossible. 9F might be doing it but it might be slower too. Goldilocks might be faster even in AWD Sportscar. At least he had incredible SnowFreds every year. Ones where he got a Bad Start but he made a comeback after people got stuck on Chiliad, the Snow can be impossible sometimes. You could overtake Half the Fields in Chiliad alone. SnowFredemption is still the best Gfred ever. His personal favorite Gfred ever, but people need to watch the first two prequels to understand how great it is. He plugged in the Gfred Playlist and Spreadsheet as usual. People already going for Goldilocks however. Possibly the New Meta though some people take on the OG. Might not be the worst strategy depending on what car they have. Some already took Hotlap up Chiliad however. The GTO handled it with absolutely no problem. Until Left Hand Dap’s F620 slides straight into Broughy’s path and knocks him off. GTO still handles it well to recover as he tried to remember whether Super GT is an RWD. That’s the problem with Chiliad, even Snowy Goldilocks isn’t a Given. The OG is still the safest in the end, yet Goldilocks is absolutely fine in the GTO, it has the Power, the Drivetrain, and the Speed. He tried not to hit a couple of hikers on the Climb to Summit. He doesn’t know where the positions are however, including whether Sins is in the lead. Is it really the Top Six or Seven now? And on the Summit, a Hiker stands right on the mountain to block Broughy from reaching the Checkpoint. With people on GTOs, it’s pretty much a level playing field at this point as people have fast cars now. Though Skilled has a Penetrator as he fell off into the Bike Ravine. He used this early Italy to get back to the Top Five Area, but now people are in the same boat and he doesn’t have the car advantage anymore. It’s better to be safe at Chiliad Descent in the Snow as it can go very badly wrong. And he landed right at the Slot of Sawmill’s Fence. Still, fighting for Top Five is remarkable after the Start and the Highway, after starting from Third to Last. Though Infernus Classic (NOT Torero) did well too. He wonders if there’s only 3 Dots ahead and he’s actually 4th as he dismounted the Train Tracks. GTO climbs better than Dinmite’s Infernus Classic, but he’s being more scaredy at Grand Chaparral, including not taking the Elk Leap Skip. And yes, only Top Two left the Observatory. AND! He killed a poor Deer at the Dismount Hill. The whole Chat immediately pissed and spamming “OH DEER” as he wondered if he killed a dog earlier too. He had a bumpy yet sleek landing off it however. He makes excused that nothing he can do on that one deer. This Italy has performed admirably as he enters Zancudo He guessed that Sins takes the Josiah Parachute while Verdilith gone for Hail Mary as does Broughy. Now he shows the Chat on. He got the angle a bit tilted, then he rolled, but he still managed to deploy the parachute. Broughy not going to win, but considering his start at 26th/28th… he tried to land earlier on the Island successfully since he can’t make to the Checkpoint. And he indeed got 2nd For Life ahead of Sins by 1,2 Second. 2nd for Life on his Birthday, that is Amazing, that he’s even there in the first place. He must have the quickest Gfred from Highway to the End, but he lost so much time before it. He’s very happy and he takes the 2nd, as he gives a GG for Verdilith. A Good little Birthday SnowFred, always good when things go somewhat well. All he needed is for Verdilith to choke Hail Mary for him to win. That’s the Proof it’s not rigged, otherwise he would have won it. Swift Rolls said “Thank the NOC who gave you the Itali” Verdilith said “I had the lead after the Quarry and switched to the Itali. then slip off the path on top of Chiliad, but managed to save it and passed Sins on the Hail Mary. GG Broughy” That’s the difference and it iterates what Broughy said about his skills before and after Highway. It’s a really fun and enjoyable race. Then he realized that he misidentified F620 as Super GT all this time. Interesting cars on the traffic there, including Jugular and Brioso XL. People are still around Zancudo at the moment. Dinmite said “I did not realize how crazy good the GTO is offroad” Then he ate his (probably Birthday) cake. XDW said “2nd place and 2 animals dead, nice” Dinmite said “some fun Traffic Trivia for you! In GTA1, there are three spawn groups, one for SA, LC, and VC. For PH I assumed them to be the Poor spawns, Middle, and Rich spawns respectively” XDW said “And hey, if you need dinner there’s some Venison near the observatory” Meanwhile, Dinmite got 4th, Squirrels and Mark got 6th and 7th. Turbo is in 13th. With that, half the field finished and the race is closed. Hammer said “Now... Can you manage a second place in Morbz?” TDD Said “Penetrator was nice up Chiliad, then exploded going down”
