This video demonstrates the stitches needed to crochet the Snowy Sky Shawl. It does not show the entire pattern to make the shawl. This is only crochet stitches. If you need to see something again, please feel free to stop the video and rewatch sections.
In this tutorial, I am using I Love This Yarn! in Antique White and a Boye H/8 (5.00 mm) hook.

HOW TO SLOW A VIDEO:
On desktop:

Still loving and making shawls out of different yarns with this excellent pattern. I was shocked that even though with my learning differently issues, I had to slow down the vid, no problem I know how, but my issues with video’s across the board, necessitate me to watch apprx 12 times before I “get it” and I still need the visual support repeatedly, but if you haven’t got and processory learning difficulties or adhd, autism, and many others, you should do great in my opinion of a 43 yr crocheter.♥️ Thank you for your video by the way❣️⭐️🕊️🙏🏼♾️

A suggestion for your beginner (like me) who is viewing your video- you might need to pause a few seconds more, slow down your pace and maybe lay it down a little flatter for longer as you go so the camera focus is better. I thought of that too, but there are other crochet channels where the pace is much much slower. You could watch those and once you are comfortable with the stitches, then watch this video. I would suggest Allison Russell’s channel, Bag O Day Crochet with Crystal, or Blossom Crochet. They are all excellent teachers for a beginner. 😊

I was taught by my Grams (Grandma) to crochet when I was 11. I forgot a lot of it but have been watching KZbin videos and re-teaching myself it again. I just learned the Granny Square blanket and am almost done with it. Always loom knitted my Mom stuff including a shawl but wanted to find a crocheted shawl that would be very beautiful on her and this one is absolutely stunning and I cannot wait to start it. Hi I only learnt to crochet last week from you tube im using tunisian hook as ordinary hooks too small, and though this would be the stitches to practice on befor I knew it I had a shawl. Im using 5mm hook and Aran wool but the thing is I cannot read a pattern and I know there s a trim to do I totally have no idea how to do it . But I only have a about 4 shells left to do before trim. This is a lovely stitch and so easy but am using #4 yarn and G Hook. When I do the cluster row as I skip the 5 stitches and go into the next one for a cluster there’s not only a big gap but a large hole in that chain stitch from going across all those 5 stitches and thus there’s a pucker that looks awful. What am I doing wrong? I would also suggest for the beginner crochet to put a marker on the front of the cluster row for them to keep track which row they are on! Blessings, Cathy

I had a problem with the top edge stretching so the ends curled backward. I went all the way around with a single crochet stitch and then added single-string-per-stitch fringe...that almost fixed the problem. If I had it to do over...I might have used the sc stitch to double stitch a few times near the center at the back of the neck to tighten the leading edge just a bit more...maybe three places near the back of the neck.
