This year we have to drive to the mountains to get snow. So far this year no winter wonderland yet. I really hope it stays this way. Makes driving rather dangerous here in town, with very little snow removal on the streets and being so hilly. We sometimes get a few days of snow in February. I will keep you posted. ❄❄❄❄

Yes, it has been very freezing cold, here in Missouri, USA. Now, we are having spring like weather, 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Back, ine day, people liked to walk in cemeteries, because, you could find green grass there. The cities were all smoke, noise, and rushing around. Thank you for your reference to correspondence. It used to be quite fashionable to post letters daily. And the PO used to be strong because of cash. Now, cell phones flourish. Thanks so much for bring joy and beauty into my home. 18th century was a slow living period in history...e

I am mourning the loss of my mother after an 11 year battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia.. I lost her two days before Christmas of 2023.. all this to say.. your content is nourishment to my soul.. it's an escape from my heartache.. I used to correspond w ink and quill, I actually had a glass pen once which was quite the challenge.. you are encouraging me to return to the softer, slower gentler art of writing. I encourage you to go back to quill and fountain pen , this way of writing with ink is so much more satisfying and fulffilling. Thank you Shawna ! yes I know a possible reason ; you tube allgorythms like channels which do exactly the same things over and over, they are confused if you do videos about seasonal decor, then a bit of french history then a bit or art vlog then a bit of travelling. They want a simple single box to put you in, and it's precisely what I'm not doing , because I would have stopped doing videos because of complete boredom if I had to do the same thing over and over to satisfy these robots! Oh I've seen some of these videos they made me smile, from a french perspective there is nothing french there and so many misunderstandings ! Thank you for your message!!! :)

It seems after the 10 year mark is when a huge growth spurt erupts, I pray that for you. I didn't know that, we will see if it's true ... :) I know, oh yes it was hot chocolate though I bought this one to try it, it's a pwder chocolate box from the starbucks brand and it was awful!! I replaced it with an other better one this week , because winter is really the hot chocolate season and a bad chocolate wouldn't do.... oh yes I thought I would keep the great grand father's deer on the mantel till the end of the winter . I have been thrifting antique books for a while and recently found a copy of “The Confessions” by Rousseau in English and I am enjoying it very much. I think there is a lot our modern society can learn from those times about how to live. Our family is French ancestry (I am Acadian) but I only know a little bit of French. Oh that's for sure , I think about Jean Jacques Rousseau's life very often because we have to deal with similar things, on so many levels,that they exeperience in the 18th, the excesses , the restrictions, intolerance, censure ...which are all coming back in an unexpected way these past 3,4 years.. , There is always so much to learn in time travelling in the past ecnturies. Yes, you're right. I should be. I actually found a little book here printed in Paris in the 1940's recently called "Assimil French Without Toil." The idea is to read one page of phrases a day in french and it gives you the english translations on the opposite page. And by doing so, you start to pick up on the language easier. Originally, it came with a record that would play the phrases for you so you could hear them. But I just have the book. C'est bon, parce que je t'aime le son de les poems dans francais et ce cerait de comprendes aussi! Keep up the great work on the videos they are inspiring and relaxing!@@Merveillesenpapier

Je comprends pourquoi l’anglais. Je trouve juste dommage car nous manquons de chaînes créateurs en français et la tienne enrichirait cela . Pour moi il est très fatiguant d’écouter l’anglais et mire les sous titre je n’en ai guere le temps mais pour toi, tourner en anglais est sans doute vital pour faire connaître ton art, c’est sur. Donc si j’aimerais t’ente de en français, oui mais bon, tu fais ce que tu peux et voilà. J’aime tin très bel univers, bravo.
