Meeting the modern demands of lifestyle touring, the robust Saber Hard Shell RTT from 23Zero provides a reliable place to sleep on your adventures.
This design will give you a secure place to sleep, just open the latch and the gas strut assisted aluminium hull to reveal the tent. Inside there’s an 80mm rebound foam mattress, a 20mm padded anti-condensation mat to keep moisture at bay, and space to leave your sleeping bag and blankets inside when it’s packed up. Keep your phone and other smaller essentials close by as you sleep in the 2 large built-in storage pockets, or other gear in the 6 removable storage pockets that include a media device viewing sleeve and drink holders. Constructed from LST coated canvas, this treatment will defuse sunlight while keeping UV rays from getting inside your tent for more comfort, and there are 3 screened entries/exits for ventilation and easy access.
You can use this tent with separately available 270 degree or side awning so you can create the perfect amount of shade and shelter around your vehicle. 23Zero have also included 3 x T-slotted roof bars with this kit so you’re able to also carry your paddleboard, bike, or recovery tracks for more convenience. If you put the pillows in the middle of the tent they won't impede as much. It's just that the canvas from the tent need the outside area of the enclosure to fold in. There will be space in the middle.

Good advice thanks, Andrew, it did feel tight on the sides but what you say makes sense in that there would be more dead space in the middle. Could be worth bunching all bedding up into the middle a little before folding I guess. ~ Ben

Great video. Thanks. Just wondering how easy is it to remove the tent from the roof racks. I plan to just have cross bars on my Dmax. I was hoping to put a Pulley system on the tent and lift it above the car for storage when not in use.

Its just a couple of bolts & brackets really @max2016, but roof top tents are generally designed to be installed and left. It'd be abit fiddly I'd say, and not something you'd want to be doing often. The main issue is going to be the weight, so if you can address that with a pulley lift system in your shed, you should be ok. ~ Lauren

What is the distance between the two mounting rails?

On our display model the centres are about 77cm apart, Logan. I don't know if this varies slightly from tent to tent though, it would be worth confirming on the tent you purchase before committing to setting anything that can't be adjusted. ~ Ben

As far as we know most of the 23Zero gear comes out of a factory in China. This is the case for most of this type of gear, often different brands from the same factories. ~ Ben

Wow thats way too heavy. 120 kg is mych more than the ither brands. I love buying 23Zero gear. This brand is my fav and go to but this heavy beast is unfortunately a deal breaker!! 23Z need to really look at a lighter version for the Saber 2.0

125Kg is the carton weight when it's delivered all in a box, the total actual inuse weight is 103Kg - but yep, its bloody heavy. The Panther and Yowie are lighter hardshell alternatives if that helps. ~ Lauren
