I have this tent and in the bag there is also a proper standalone awning included with poles rather than flipping the fly over.

Thanks for this info, Elliot, they didn't have the extra awning at the show and I din't get a chance to set the tent up from scratch. Being an owner of one, what do you think of the Xtender tents from Darche? They seem pretty versatile, especially with the removable awning. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors I love it, it's nice and spacious, I have a double 4wd mat, table and my chair in it, so perfect to hide away from any bad weather which I've done plenty. I'm camping solo and find it quite easy to set up, originally I wanted a roof tent but glad I didn't as I can go out for the day and not pack anything up. Also Darche haven't wind tested it but it's been up in 40 to 50km/h winds and had no issues, whereas other tents at the campsites have collapsed so definitely well made.

Awesome, thanks for sharing your experience with the Xtender tent, Elliot. We've not had much feedback on these otherwise, I'm sure there will be plenty of people who find your opinions valuable. Happy Camping! ~ Ben

Will the extender tent alone with a 180 awning
@SnowysOutdoors7 ай бұрын
It will only physically connect to an awning with a sail track on the outer edge, otherwise you'd just need to butt it up against the edge of the awning. ~ Ben

Any more updates on this tent? thanks

Not yet, Gab, it is still part of our range which suggests Darche may still be intending on making more, but we don't have a definitive eta on it for you sorry. ~ Ben

Be great if they made this with blackout material otherwise it's great 👍

More an more tents are coming out with the Blackout material nowadays, the Xtender hasn't had an upgrade in some time so you never know what they might feature in the future. ~ Ben

Does the tent attached to a 180 Darche awning ?
@SnowysOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
This won't work unfortunately, Toby, these are designed to attach to awnings that have a sail track along the outer edge, of which the 270 and 180 awnings do not. ~ Ben

by your self I'd like to see someone drive up to the tent and reattatch the awning to the tent, i reckon it'd be a prick of a thing

I agree it wouldn't be easy. I reckon when you've done it a few times you'd gauge it ok. ~ Lauren

Is the color khaki? Is it brown?

It's kind of both, maybe more khaki. ~ Ben

I thought they were pretty good value for the money, Nathan, the fabrics are heavier than your average tent, and they are well made. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors I do appreciate the build quality of Darche gear, however I personally don't think touring tents like this in general are all that great for what they cost. Personal opinion of course. Are these able to attach to the front or rear edge of the awning instead of the side edge?
@SnowysOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@KR7PT they are freestanding so in that sense, you can just butt them up against any side of an awning if you please. If you want to physically attach it then you can only do so where you have a sail track to slide the connector into. ~ Ben
