I am 75 years old and believe me I’ve had every jacket under the Sun but I must admit I bought the snug pack arrowhead jacket and it’s definitely my favourite.

This is the first Snugpak jacket I found that is true to size. The UK made SJ jackets are all over the show when it comes to sizing. I'm a 42 chest and 32 waist, 13 stone muscular build, 5'11" and the medium Arrowhead in MTP is a perfect fit and I mean perfect. Quality is OK, but there were a lot of lose threads to clear up on mine when it arrived. Jacket is very warm when walking and I find you don't need to layer much with it, even when temps are just above zero. My only gripe is the main zipper jamming up every now and again, plus just closing the zip at its base is a pain. Else, really happy with mine. Assuming it fits the same I may also now get the Spearhead for when I'm less active, i.e. sitting on my rods, rather than roving.

Basically the Sleeka MK2....Sleeka was always the best jacket out there for function and value......should have kept the name.

Thank you 😊 I’m 6ft, medium build and 14.5 stone. I like a little room in my jacket hence why I go for the XL. The L is slightly tighter fit and probably good for a walking and activities type jacket but I’m a sit in cold weather and wait type so the XL is perfect and will take 2/3 good layers underneath.

@@SimonMcCabe thanks! I'm like half a stone heavier at 5'9". Wide chest, small waist. I'd be using this for light to moderate activity. You've definitely answered my question and helped steer my purchase this way. Debating on a US-made item vs this for Berry Compliance, bit this jacket looks like it's in the lead.

Hey Simon, lovely review. It’s not often someone does a video with such a high production value. I noticed you got the XL being similar build as me (183cm at around 90.7 kg) which made me wonder if you have had a Sleeka original as well? That’s the model I’ve used for years and it fits fine except that the chest is massive in size L already. Couldn’t see me ever wearing it in XL. I assume the arrowhead has a much smaller fit then although being based on the Sleeka elite?

Appreciate the feedback mate. My Arrowhead feels a little small for an XL but I do tend to wear 2 layers below including a fleece vest. I have every other jacket except the Sleeka so couldn’t comment on that but the Torrent looks similar and I had that in L which I found quite Snug, excuse the pun. I wear it’s for ‘stand around warmth’ whilst I’m fishing. I think if I was more active I’d purchase a L so the fit is tighter allowing me to have less layering. Not sure if that helps or not?

Arrowhead is very nice but also take a look at the Tomahawk jacket. It’s a lovely jacket too.

@@SimonMcCabe cheers but that would be way too warm for me. The arrowhead is rated -5 C just as my sleeka and that almost never isn’t warm enough were I live. I have an ebony as well rated at -10 C and I never use it since it’s so hot.

awesome video 👌 i got a question. You mentioned that the arrowhead is in between the Sj3 and Sj9. Is that right ? because on allmost all websites its rated for the exact same temperatures like the Sj3 ( 0*C - -5*C ) is it warmer or the same as the SJ 3 ?

It's a similar rating to the SJ3 but I think it's definitely warmer. Just a little more layered Softee material inner gives it more of a plush, puff look.

Great video ❤quick question though as I’m looking to purchase this jacket. I’m stuck on which size to get, I’m 5’11 and weigh 13 stone and I’m medium built. I like my stuck pretty lose but also a firm fit. Would you recommend a large or a medium?

I’m 5.11 and around 14.5 stone and like the room so I got XL. I would think M would be a nice fit but a L would give you more room for layering. Mine fits 2 if not 3 layers and feel a little looser but I like the movement. Sounds like you’d work a M for a closer fit Callum.

For the budge, they are incredibly good. Clarity is excel and comfortable to use. Good in low light and built to last. Can't recommend enough Stephen.
