You don't need to roll up the sleeping bag to put it back into the stuff sack, just stuff it in there; Snugpak even recommends just stuffing it.

We bought the jungle blanket for our emergency go bags. Was seriously considering the jungle bag, but didnt like the “extra” things that might cause some issues long term, like the mesh for example. We ended up getting the Trifecta Bivvy and the Jungle Blanket. Pretty good setup for us

I'm rocking the Aquaquest Bivy, Snugpak Jungle Bag, Snugpak Thermalon Liner and the Snugpak Jungle Blanket. In the winter, I replace the Jungle Bag with my winter sleeping bag, and I'm snug as a bug in a rug. :)

Thanks for the review! Personally, I prefer the Jungle Blanket XL. I'm taller than most folks and it works perfect for me. I've used it down to -4C & was perfectly warm. With a bivy & a liner I imagine it would be good for even colder temperatures.

I guess this is an older version since mine has 3 zips, one along the bottom so you can have it open like a big tube, two zips along the side which completely detach so it becomes a blanket, and the mosquitoes net can be completely detached.

+BlackRifle Survival Thank you! The drop leg pouch is a very nice option because it can be used for many different things. When I carry it I mainly use it for my firearm and an extra mag but I've thought about using it as a med kit or fire kit as well. As far as the sleeping bad , the mummy one is very nice, I kind of wish they offered the jungle bag in a mummy option. I've gotten used to this one and sometimes is nice to have the extra space around your feet too. Thank you for watching! -Jacko

MuddyTigerOutdoors I'll have to do.a review on my mummy from snugpak. Lol they don't joke when they say snug. I'm 6 foot and need to get my chest measurements but they really don't want to give you much wiggle room in the model I have. Lol. Have you done a video yet on the drop leg setup? If not I may film mine and then tag you for yours. I saw PreparedMind101 had a similar idea in a vid a while back and I showed some pictures of mine. But who knows. Great vid again on the jungle bag. Keep them coming!

Thanks for the great review! You showed the circular piece on the opening of the bag to help keep out water. Does this mean that the stuff sack is water repellent? If so that is a major feature and a strong selling point in my book.

Just wondering do you have to hang that bag when you store it (like the expensive sleeping bags)? Can you keep it stored indefinately in the compression sack without the insulating factor breaking down?
@muddytigeroutdoors47909 жыл бұрын
+Farad152000 I would think so, I've stored mine hanging in the closet. I think is a good rule of thumb to hand anything that has down material in it. Thank you for watching and commenting! -Jacko

How can you rig something up to keep the net off your face other then a baseball cap? If it lays on your face then the bugs can still bite you. I thought of a small piece of plastic or rubber mat strip in an upside down U shape that would be hard enough to stand.
@muddytigeroutdoors47908 жыл бұрын
I haven't really had an issue with the bug net laying or touching my face much. Theres enough material for it to not be against you face. I'll have to give this one more thinking... Thank you for watching! -Jacko
@HamsterLife_EnglishLearning8 жыл бұрын
One person said to get a green fresh bendable branch and bend it in a U shape upside down of course lol. I would want to cushion the ends with tape to protect it stabbing the material. Maybe a piece of cardboard bent, or stiff plastic.
@MoonbeameSmith Жыл бұрын
add a simple rubber hose like the kind your car uses for the window washer. It will hold it's shape enough to arch the opening in 'sqeeder weather. Plus you can use it for a siphon hose should the need arise

How come on some places I see the Jungle bag being a mummy bag and others it is rectangle? I am curious if there is a difference because I cannot find it on snugpak's website, but if you look up on midwayusa you see it mummy style, same specs as well, and Ive seen it that style a few other places. Thanks for any info you have.
@muddytigeroutdoors47909 жыл бұрын
+mmaviator22 The one that I have is rectangular, not mummy style at all. Snugpack has many sleeping bags and there is the chance that some websites may have the wrong picture of the actual bag. This happens a lot. The jungle bag, from what I understands only comes in tan and OD green. There is another one that looks the same, comes in red but it has another name that I can remember at all. Go to www.proforceequioment.com and check out the sleeping bag sections,miss very well defined and they have the correct info. Thank you for watching. -Jacko
