I've had one for about two years now and have used it in all sorts of conditions in the Pacific Northwest. I've tested it in high winds, heavy rains, and in winter conditions. It's well made and has performed flawlessly with no leakage, condensation, or problems with snow load. I leave the two parts attached as it makes setup easier. I can set it up in under five minutes. I would recommend this tent to anyone needing a lightweight, four season, two person, tent.

@@thegreatecb depends on how much room you want. I only needed a two person tent. The Scorpion 3 is a three person tent, but I'm sure it performs as well as the Scorpion 2. It also becomes a weight issue if you have to carry it, the Scorpion 2 being lighter than the Scorpion 3.

I took mine kayak camping for 4 days. Stormed heavily every day. Tons of rain and wind. Tent took it like a champ. I unfortunately lived in the tent for 3 days. Did all my cooking in the vestibule. The tent never leaked. Only time I came out was to empty my piss bottle or go number 2. I left in the rain on the 4th day. Didn't think I was going to make it back alive in my kayak. But I made it. What an adventure. My back was killing me tho after a few days living in a tent. Bullet proof tent. Im 5'9". Which i think is the tallest you can be to fit in this tent.

I lived out of my tent for 3 days because I couldn't kayak out due to rough waters on the river. Was completely dry for the 3 days. Held up well in high winds. Not once did I feel in danger. Ive heard a few people say if your over 6ft this isnt for you. Then you mention it and demo it. Ahh man! I'm sick. Do you think this would be OK for me at 6'1"? I'm guessing not. :-/ Why oh why would any manufacturer make a small mans tent? It makes no sense. Its like when they make a good film but put sex and to much violence in it. If you just cut them scenes instead of it being an 18 its a 15 and now you just opened up your market base. Same here, no 5'8" guy is gonna complain tent too long. But I cant be a customer. Why would you design something like that? Thanks for the review mate. You may have just saved me some money. Greetings from Geordieland

Hello mate. This is my favourite comment of the year so far! 😆 It’s a great tent to be fair and it might be ok if you sleep curled up a bit or diagonally across it but if you sleep like I showed in the vid your feet will defo be touching the end. And that’s without a sleeping bag and mat. Cheers for watching and taking the time to comment. Glad it was useful for you

bought it and was impressed with the tent.. but, to be honest its a glorified bivi tent. this fella has done the best review I've seen. most of the others are given the tent to give a positive review. I don't mind the small size but I did expect it to be a touch bigger.

So is the porch, large or small...
@steelmanoutdoors44794 жыл бұрын
Hey Malcolm. I’d say it’s fairly big. Large enough to keep boots, bag and a few other bits in it. But not as tall as I’d like it to be for cooking. Thanks for watching mate 💪

@@steelmanoutdoors4479 hi I have this tent and love it. Although I'm only 5'8" so the length is fine for me. It also really hold the heat in during winter months. Regarding cooking in the porch. I just unclip the bottom two front corners holding the inner to the outer, and push the inner back, creating another foot of space to cook in. Hope this helps.

That is a bloody great idea mate! I hadn’t thought of that!! Thanks very much for commenting. I am still yet to use this tent 😔 and I had bought it specifically for winter lol. Probably gonna be summer by the time it sees any action at this rate.

Hey Lee. I was just highlighting my initial thoughts and to be honest only really included the downsides. I’m still yet to actually use the tent due to lockdown but once I’m able I’ll do a full review and include all the good things I like about it too 😊👍 thanks for watching mate

Too late. I’ve already got it. What’s your opinion on it? Would love to hear your thoughts

@@steelmanoutdoors4479 My comment was based off of how you were talking about the tent. You made it sound like there were too many issues and the tent was not worth buying. I did not hear anything positive about the tent in that review that would make me want to buy it.
@steelmanoutdoors44794 жыл бұрын
Ahh right. But this was just my first impressions of the tent. Not a full review. There are some things that I love about it and will explain it all when I get out and test it thoroughly 😁

Please learn to speak the word "here" as a single syllable. It's not "her-uh." Simple English!

@@steelmanoutdoors4479 I, for one, love the way you say "hee-uh"...just like I love the way that Donald J. Trump says "China." And I'm not taking the piss.
