When you can't tell who's singing which part, you know you've got harmonic perfection.

Beautifully atmospheric. Should you ever get the chance I recommend listening to this driving west along the North Norfolk coast from Cromer to Binham during the fading light of a beautiful December sunset. This was the soundtrack of my recent break in Walsingham. Haunting and beautiful. ✌🏻❤️

Idk but I feel like these sounds are somewhere very deep in my memory from the time I’ve never lived. I was born in Russia, moved to the USA but listening British folk. So love it!

Mournful and haunting, I love that this simple tune masquerades as an historic traditional song. The Unthanks give a masterful interpretation, so lovely!

It was originally penned by Davey Dodds. Interesting artist and singer.

It is based off of a traditional children's rhyme that was first recorded in the 16th century, so in a way, it is!
