I'm still convinced that the only reason that the Mets had so many swing and misses is because of the empire's egregious strikezone. If they didn't have to cover as much of that strikezone as they did, a large portion of those swings may have been takes.

It for sure played a part but the only reason? Give some credit to wheeler. His fastball was blowing by. This guy would be Cy Young if it wasn’t for Sale. Fatigued just set in as he began to miss some spots and it grew his pitch count up progressively by the 5th and 6th inning. Great work by the Mets bats all in all. Striking out is never fun but the boys hung in there
