@@venor2612 Yes Forces was rushed too. 3 years on development on the game engine and only one year on the actual game itself at least from what I remember. Also Forces was very buggy at launch too, but the difference is that Sega patched most of the bugs.

A bad game is sometimes like a bad exam. You may get a bad grade not because you didn't study or know the answers to the questions, but because you weren't able to finish it within the time given. I feel like we will see this again but I also wonder how big an issue it is. Color Ultimate also had a bunch of issues but the fact that it reviewed so well makes me think it wasn't a huge issue for reviewers. Origins seems to be the same way. I've seen some nitpicking of coursed based on what people are used to with other emulators. But as a whole this game collections seems solid. Haven't picked it up myself yet as it's too pricey for me (same with Colors Ultimate), but I do think Frontiers will mimic this. Especially as open world games have the potential for it already. So while I agree this is a publisher issue that needs to be fixed, it's hard to say how big a problem this will be. Cause even when Frontiers releases, plenty of footage will go online. But individual experience will be different. Having said all that, a developer coming out and saying all this out loud does indicate a definite problem(s) to be addressed

It’s no Colors Ultimate, and I still enjoyed the collection. But man, it needs some polish. This game desperately needs patched to fix the bugs and remove Denuvo, and I’d have no problem recommending it. I’ve had plenty of problems with it; more than you’ve mentioned here. It’s not unplayable, but it’s more of a “death by a thousand cuts” situation, if you will. It’s still inexcusable how many times SEGA has released an unpolished product to meet an anniversary deadline. How have they not learned this from 06?

I'm inclined to look at Sonic Team since this keeps happing when they are running the show with Sega releases. I've only encountered one bug so far. I lost the lighting shield in Sonic 3, but still had rings flying to me. I've heard the PC release is a horror show. The console version I have is mostly fine, at least so far.

I haven’t experienced the collision detection issues with Sonic 3, but I have seen it with Sonic 1 (specifically, Spring Yard Zone’s rounded corners) and Sonic 2’s Tails. I’m hoping for a lot of the bug fixes that everyone else is too, but in the meantime, I think a workable solution around the Tails thing is to press up and jump for a second or two as if you were trying to get him to fly you. This makes Tails fly offscreen ready to pick you up and, for some reason, I think this causes him to reset. The bugs are unfortunate but haven’t ruined the collection for me. Still worth it, in my opinion

Ive had a blast with the collection but im gonna be honest, ive ran into a fair share of problems myself, such as tails disappearing offscreen (only in sonic 2), being crushed randomly although i think the problem lies with the games themselves and its not a problem exclusive to the collection, theres a big bug on the ps4 where the game crashes when you check the leaderboards and sonic 1 and 2 have some wacky physics, but other than those tiny problems the collection is fantastic, I would recommend anyone get it cause its genuinely fun. having way more fun than SCU although i also think that remaster was fairly good, it had its problems but it was enjoyable for the most part.

I played through the four games while getting every emerald and I've done half of mission mode and I've only encountered one bug so I'm actually pretty confused on what people are talking about. Not at all denying other people's experiences, especially when one of them is a dev, it just doesn't align with what I've personally experienced and I think that's weird.

The only real big problem I had was Tails suddenly disappearing offscreen and you constantly hear him jumping trying to catch up to you but never does. But in that same breath, I haven’t seen enough people talk about this, Tails’ AI more than made up for it in Sonic 3. Like people aren’t giving credit to that version of Tails in 3 and Knuckles. In S3&K Tails competently keeps up at most points in time whereas if you remember back in the day Tails almost always fell behind. But do yourself a favor the next time you play S3&K on Origins. Tails is damn fine at keeping up when he needs to and I appreciate that aspect.

I agree to everything that is said in detail in this video and yes while Sonic Origins is indeed a good game I'm not gonna deny some minor issues I've had at least in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 where I would randomly get crushed out of nowhere and in Sonic 2, Tails just disappears randomly or he just keeps jumping! That's basically all I've encountered but other than just those minor bugs the game is still a great time and I'm almost finished with the story mode of the game 😊 I've completed Sonic 1 with all 6 Chaos Emeralds with the good ending, completed Sonic CD with all 7 Time stones and the good ending and I have all 7 Chaos Emeralds in Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles! I'm currently at 3 Super Emeralds and just need 4 more! ✊

I've seen articles about how headcannon and co are mad at SEGA interfering with development, and I've been having Rise of Lyric flashbacks every time I see one. They aren't learning. They at least should've "mania'd" the graphics, remixed the soundtracks and kept the originals for a classic mode instead of the "right-click, copy and paste, but all in the same folder" they gave us. I have the android versions, the Xbox live versions and roms with a widescreen + high res hack, so really, I won't be buying this. Most likely I'll mod Mania for the classic stages and I'll be golden.

I found a glitch in sonic 3 where in hidden palace (entering from a big ring) if you drop dash on one of the unactivated super emeralds you will get stuck. This is because when landed on an emerald the game freezes your controls. But when drop dashing it forces you off the emerald, preventing it from moving into the blue sphere stage, but also getting you stuck. The only way out is to restart, although restarting fortunately brings you back to hidden palace so you dont actually lose any progress. This is the only gameplay affecting bug I've found so I dont know what the problem is with people saying it is a complete buggy mess. Maybe it's platform differences.

I found like atleast 20 glitches in sonic origins by accident without trying to, like freezing the game, dying randomly, clipping into areas im not meant to be in, and a save data swap (basically when I was playing sonic 3&K in story mode, I had a Mirror mode save data of the same game and I think it mixed up my Chaos and Super emerald data of the 2 save datas)

It's still kinda sad to hear devs from Haedcannon said they were disappointed in what happened to Origins thxs to Sega still not learning their lesson from their past partnership and the team didn't have the chance to fix their bugs. I have no insider information to back this up or anything, it's all hypothetical, but I really get the feeling that Sega's corporates don't care about Sonic. Other games in the publisher's catalogue, like Yakuza, Valkyria Chronicles or Shining Resonance don't launch with these kinds of issues or problems. I enjoyed Sonic Origins and ran into a few bugs, these are issues that can be fixed, it's not as broken as Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Definitive Edition and how Rockstar shadow dropped the trailer and was released in 21 days later only for the collection to be buggy and broken at launch (Even compared to Warcraft III: Reforged), at least Sonic Origins is better than Sonic Colors Ultimate were as Sonic Colors Ultimate, had game breaking glitches and the Switch version gave people seizures, but to be real this kinda has Me worried for Sonic (well gaming as a whole, Nintendo did this sh*t with Nintendo 64 games as part of their Nintendo Switch Online expansion pack) going forward being how big the series is BC of the Movies. I think We should stop blaming Iizuka, Kishimoto and Sonic Team for the bad games and take Sam Procrastinates' words and point the fingers at the higher ups at Sega-Atlus (mostly SegaSammy) and give them the feedback They need and be fair about it, the only time developers deserve the hate is if They did something really vile and if it's proven otherwise in the court of law (like Activision-Blizzard and Ubisoft and how They deserve the hate They're getting for the vile things they've done).

I had a good time with Origins. The only bugs that I encountered was the Act Clear music not playing in Sonic 1,(It happened once tho) Tails not respawning, Tails’s flying sound effect constantly playing even though he’s not flying, and the museum playing other tracks instead of the one I chose. (For example I’ll play Sonic 3D Blast Credits but it’ll play the menu music instead)

from what i've seen, people have on the whole had a lot of fun with the game, and i love that for them! but i bought this on steam, and after playing through green hill & marble zone with ridiculous menu slowdown, the game wouldn't even reach the title screen without crashing, which is something multiple people have had issues with. i want this game to do well and i want to play it for myself and enjoy it, which i'm aware i could do on console, but i don't think having a game at least be functional on my preferred platform is an unrealistic expectation.

Honestly, SEGA just should have sorted out the issues with Sonic 3's soundtrack already. This is embarrassing! Plus, with the remake of Sonic 3K being rushed out the door is a bad look for Sonic Origins. This series continues to be incredibly mismanaged. This does NOT give me any hope for Sonic Frontiers.

So because I played Sonic 3 & Knuckles the most out of the collection so far I've run into some glitches that occur in launch base zone, mushroom Hill zone, and flying battery zone that involve the physics where you get launched in directions that you should not be going based on your trajectory. There's also a glitch that happens in lava reef zone where the super emerald rings even after collecting all of the chaos and super emeralds go back to being standard rings and then you start at special stage number one from Sonic 3 it's only happened once and I turned the game off immediately because I didn't know if it would save over my emeralds. Other than that I just kind of wish that they would have left the original prototype music in as an option in game because it's a bit more complex, and I wish Knuckles would be playable in Sonic CD. I also think including Metal Sonic and Amy is playable characters and all the games would have been a nice touch seeing as how the artwork is everywhere.

No, people are tired of just settling for less. The developers are telling the fans that Sonic cares more about deadlines than actually ironing out the game in its best form possible. I’ve encountered glitches on the Origins version of CD that I remember encountering on the Xbox 360 port. Normally I’d forgive something like this but the remastered version of Sonic CD has been rereleased at least five times not counting Origins and I’m willing to bet there are more glitches that haven’t been fixed since 2011.

Look, my perspective is that i’m among the people who have been BEGGING to get those fantastic Headcannon/Whitehead ports of Sonic 1 and 2 onto consoles and PC, as well as let them do the same with Sonic 3&K. In essence, that’s what we have here, albeit with Sega rushing things a bit. Still, the ports themselves are rock solid. I’ve played every single game in the collection on Switch and the only glitch i’ve encountered is the infinite Tails jumping bug that happens in every version of Sonic 2
