Love Dan Fogleberg, beautiful voice, with lovely lyrics. Hope you listen to a couple of other tunes, " Run for the Roses"' "Leader of the Band" the latter is about his love for his father. So sad we lost him too early. Thank you for the memories.

This song came out in 1979 and got very limited air play but it was beautiful and I remembered it. So when I had my first dance with my new bride less than 2 years later in 1981 this song played during our first dance. That was 42 years ago and we're still together.

One of my favorite artists. Dan Fogelberg was such a great folk rock singer songwriter & storyteller. His biggest hit was "Longer" in 1979. He said he wrote this song while vacationing in Maui, lounging in a hammock one night & looking up at the stars. He had so many good songs including "Nexus", "The Reach", "Hard To Say", "Leader Of The Band" & "Run For The Roses". We lost him much too soon in 2007.
