Miyako in all her glory and that genius brain may create a masterpiece but it takes the insane talent of all the band members in this group to be able to play it LIVE flawlessly!!! Much like Frozen Serenade, kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5aboYSMqpKFhJo another masterpiece that shows off the insane talent, this song proves that this band is not a one genre wonder. Miyako tries to blend classical elements into many of the band's songs she composes along with all the classical metal sounds the members were influenced by. This band produces masterpieces, epic or awesome songs all the time and each new one is an experience especially LIVE.

I always pronounced that way as well. Then when we were talking about music in work one day my Polish friend giggled when I said his name. Apparently it is supposed to be pronounced as Shopin, just like saying shopping without the g on the end. Who knew all these years I had been saying it wrong, everyday is a school day. In my defence, it was at school in Edinburgh that I learned to pronounce it wrong.

Great reaction ! Yes, Miyako is the generational talent who hopped from the piano to shred the guitar and then back to the piano. She also composed and arranged this track. "Swan Song" is a neoclassical metal masterpiece and throughout this song, you can hear motifs from Romantic-era composers Chopin (intro, main riff, solo) and Dvořák (chorus). Miyako's piano intro was Chopin's (pronounced "show-pan") "Étude Op. 10, No. 12 in C minor", aka "Revolutionary Étude". LOVEBITES plays metal from a variety of genres. Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the great classical composers, specializing in highly technical works for piano. "Etude" is French for "study". Chopin's Etudes were written as "studies", or lessons, for his students. They ended up being popular things for professional pianists to play as part of their concerts, in part to show off their skills. This is one of the more famous ones and is considered one of the most difficult ones. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák and Chopin, as well as her stated favorite, Russian romantic composer Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor), with a passage by Rachmaninoff as the outro. For this performance, she actually played the Etude as the intro, but it’s not normally included in their shows.

The Chopin piece Miyako (guitar/keyboards) is playing in the intro is "Etude OP10, No. 12" known as the "Revolutionary Etude." In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was called the "November Revolution" but ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agent presented "Etude OP10, No. 12" in Paris. Because of the agent's exaggerated publicity, people called this piece "Revolutionary Etude. Miyako composed "Swan Song" based on this "Revolutionary Etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude" and inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake. "SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES could complete.

ALL the ladies can play keyboards (Midori, Miyako, Miho, Asami, Haruna and Fami). This is the 2020 concert. In this video, Miho plays the bass guitar. Miho created LoveBites and was the band's leader until August 2021.

this was Miho on bass, who formed the band. Miho wrote all the music and arranged. chopin , pronounced ...Sho parn btw. Etude 13 intro btw. outro , no idea, sorry. Miyako has had 16 years of piano training and performed in concert before Lovebites. Started at 3 or 4yo. Ostarted guitar when she began college.

Some songs get called a masterpiece when they should not have. This song is a masterpiece, period. Miho on bass here, not Fami. This song I always dub "The Miyako Show". My favorite song by any band ever is "Judgement Day". The studio version/music video edges out the live performance for me, if by but a hair.

🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 I get a kick out of watching reactors butcher Chopin's name lol ( pronounced show- pan ) he was only one of the greatest classical composers and pianists of all time I see a keyboard behind you you should familiarize you self with his work. metal and classical music have so much in common if Chopin was alive today I am sure he would be in a Metal band .
