After a decade of suffering, I recently found out I have thinning discs, mild scoliosis, herniated disc, narrowing of neck discs C5 and C6, reverse cervical lordosis and arthritis. You would never tell it by looking at me. I look extremely healthy. People ask me if I model. It hurts so bad to sit down. Laying down is my only relief.

Your Grace _ food addiction and eating disorders are as bad as drug addiction. These people should have to enter a mental health facility before being allowed to have surgery. My psychology professor once said that women who talk with a child’s voice were likely sexually abused as a child. Sexual abuse can explain over eating... the doctor just mentioned psychotherapy thank goodness!!! You have to heal the heart and mind before healing the body. If you don’t then any progress made will be short lived.

“I haven’t ate since breakfast”. Good God, get this woman a Medal of Honor. I was force fed sugar at a very young age as my parents believed one spoonful of fat would kill you and sugar was a great substitute. I think you can all guess how that worked out. Now, as an adult I eat one meal a day and nothing else. On the rare occasions I do indulge like on a holiday I feel sick.

the governments 'dont eat fat' scare has killed so many people and ruined more lives. all the low fat bullshit you see in stores has to make it still taste good somehow, and usually that somehow is sugar. sugar = devil

Same case, but instead of no meat and full sugar. i was forced to fed in a large quantity of any variety and sweet drinks in less than 5hrs (plus 3 boxes of tupperware with addictive chips for snacking) why my parents messed up feeding me? 2008 economy, our biz affected. Grandma went feeding frenzy on me. now the last part you described is what i just experienced a month ago, me being at brand new and 1st buffet in town. I try to ate as much like kid me does. Dang! i can’t even compete with my former selves! Only managed to ate their 1 pcs of teriyaki with a bowl of rice, 10 corndog and 1 normal serving of sushi and a plate of their noodles finally an ice cream as dessert. Felt awfully sick afterwards too! That is lasting for whole day! i haven’t ate anything after that buffet (from 10am) till tomorrow morning because of being bloated! While kid me used to be able to consume more than that. Turns out your guts could shrank as long as your really drastically ate less.. Glad i realize the error at 13 and change my diet and lifestyle 180* also 1 meal a day too (but later twice a day to this day) that was 10yr ago

The doctor is right. Her priorities are in eating and not her life or her body. If it was, she'd happily do anything. Personally, when I get a bit chubby, I get so paranoid and disgusted that I instantly stop eating crap and do exercises until I'm back in shape. In those times, food can call as much as it wants but my disgust is always stronger, because my body is more important. She seems like a child, and really, it is all down to herself and what is most important to her. Everyone has different priorities.

She could have ordered Chinese food and split it up into three meals. A whole quart of cashew chicken, two egg rolls, rice, and won-ton soup has something like 1800-2000 calories. The problem is HOW Americans eat, not WHAT they eat.
