Not gonna lie - loving the “gear” side of the channel beyond guitars and amps My wish list just increased by $20k over night You are the best my man!

For any guitarist that may not understand, Re-Amp outs = You can use all your guitar pedals like analog rack gear or like a plug-in.

i don't think boss roland makes anything like that? juss sayn boss is user friendly

I have the HD2 and have been extremely happy with it. Auto-gain works really well, and as a Studio One user having my input levels saved as part of each song/session is really handy. My ONLY complaint is that I would like more control over the actual output signal on reamping. I still find that If I'm recording DIs with "correct" headroom that the reamped signal is about 8db quieter. I think that's part of just the joy of reamping though. Only really matters if you're being OCD about matching your reamp level exactly with your actual guitar.

With the hd 2, if you plug a guitar to the di, does it override the corresponding mic pre? I was curious if it had 4 analog inputs or if it’s really only 2 at a time. Thanks!
@ChristianMoses4 ай бұрын
@@TheMrCull it's 2 inputs. The front instrument input overrides the mic/line input in the back when a 1/4" cable is connected.
@justinreynolds3935Ай бұрын
You using correct cable?? 8db is quite a bit. May be some error there. Maybe you have select re amp in the UC area???!! I'm curious because I am considering a hd8 and wanted a re amp function.
@ChristianMosesАй бұрын
@@justinreynolds3935 I measured everything with a multimeter and did a loopback from the output into the input. If I only used vintage single coils I could bump my input gain up to 21db, but that's only 4db of overhead and I can't use that with humbuckers.

Waiting for mine from Sweetwater of course. My old one died and emergency replaced it with a 4i4. Can't wait until it gets here. I'm wondering what to do with my re-amp box now? That thing was expensive. Found out that (on PC), one must change the input of the computer settings to one of the loopback channels to get it to work. It's actually a day later (edited). It's true. Change the settings on the computer and it will show up in Ableton Live as an input.

Hello. I bought a Quantum HD8, but I can't get Studio One 7, how do I do it?

hey what kind of issues did you experience? I have the HD8 and I'm also experiencing some audio issues like pops and clicks even on high buffer settings

32-bit…wow. PreSonus is dragging us all into the future. The headroom must be amazing. 32-bit, if I remember correctly, gives you a lot of control over the input headroom. The Universal Control features are very cool. Wow…the quantum looks to be a logical next step for Audio Interfaces. I’m stoked about this.
@justinreynolds3935Ай бұрын
32 bit float isn't that much better honestly. Most aren't going to notice anything different. The 75db of gain they may for the super power hungry mics.

More ins and outs are great and all, but they've had pretty solid pre's for a while. The Studio 192 sounded great but had horrible drivers. If they got their drivers sorted out, they'd be competing with the big boys.

Funny how non drummers always think of paiste cymbals as brash or bright. Yes the rude and 2002 are bright but they also make some of the darkest lush cymbals on the planet I was at a studio once and the engineer saw I had a paiste ride and hats and goes oh dude those will be to loud and bright for this song and I told him these are their dark signature stuff just try it. He went out and bought a ride next day. lol. This drummer btw drills man. And the sound was great. I am torn between this and the older quantum 2626. Or even the Audient evo16 I hear is very legit.

I hate the auto gain, it kills that wide dynamic range almost immediately and also that much exagerated compression, everybody who was trying to pair with my channel used, while they never had to cancel the true tape hiss of the broken cassette deck. I don't know. Namastè.
Guys, I bought a Quantum HD8 and the main rotary knob has some play. Does anyone have the same interface and can tell me if the same thing happens? Thanks.
@seanmolzhon27643 ай бұрын
How many interfaces they going to produce before they fix the actual problem by offer ing new DRIVERS? Beyond ridiculous! I can’t believe people fall for this same song & dance with the same issue of shit drivers. They won’t even be truthful with customers. Contact them all you want, but if you suspect it’s a driver issue, you won’t even get a response. What a colossal embarrassment that last $600 quantum was. It should have never been released to the public. Presonus is dangerously close to irrelevance. You have to wonder if it’s users have an abuse dependency.
@justinreynolds3935Ай бұрын
You don't need drivers for it to work. If you want dsp or whatever. I use a 1818vsl that's 10 years old still. Just monitor through daw. That driver stuff is a joke. Universal control isn't necessary
