This is an EXTREMELY weird mashup with strange cuts. The actual version is about 2 and a half minutes consisting of instrumentals and 2 verses with no repetition. Regardless, you definitely need to react to Dark Side Of the Moon as a whole in one setting. As much as you appreciate Pink Floyd now, it makes things 1000x more impressive. Love your reactions!

As mentioned by others, Dark Side of the Moon is not an album that you listen to songs off of... it's a work of art in the form of an album. Tracks lead into each other weaving the musical and lyrical story and you'll never get the full experience just listening to individual tracks. This is the epitome of "album rock" so please do it justice by covering the entire album in one session. You won't be sorry.

You are spot on but the very thing that makes it great causes a big dichotomy for me, in that there is no doubt it is a masterpiece, but it is not as listenable or accessible as other Pink Floyd albums, it is one you have to be in the mood for, unlike Wish You Were Here, which I could listen to all the time.

Trance-like states induced by music are very real. Pink Floyd was great at taking you there faster, and in a deeper way, than just about anyone modern. This state is really what jam bands are all about; they take you to a deeper understanding of the music by giving the melody time to simmer in the brain.

So, if I'm reading correctly, you've done the entire "Dark Side of the Moon" album…except for the album closer, "Brain Damage/Eclipse". (They're listed as separate songs, but one flows right into the other. Don't split them, please.) "Brain Damage/Eclipse" is not only my favorite song from the album… it's my favorite Pink Floyd song, period. And one of my favorite songs of all time. (Is that enough hype? I've got more if you need it.) Next, please. SOON, please. Thanks in advance.

The thing about Dark Side Of The Moon is that while every song is great on it's own the album really should be heard in its entirety more, I think, than any of their others. By the way, this is an odd, edited version, with bits missing or overly repeated. You should go with the full album version with the iconic "home" section at the end of Breathe: "Home, home again. I like to be here when I can. And when I come home cold and tired, I like to warm my bones beside the fire. Far away, across the fields, the tolling of the iron bell, calls the faithful to their knees, to hear the softly spoken magic spell." It then merges beautifully into "The Great Gig in the Sky". kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHW5pmyse5p9abs

OK. Like others have mentioned, this mix is heavily edited. One really has to listen to the album in it's entirety to "get it". On another note, I saw this live in June, 1973 at Blossom Music Center outside of Cleveland. To this day that show ranks in my all-time top 5. Saw Floyd many times since, but Dark Side was truly them putting an indelible stamp on their legacy. Thank you, J and Amber. If you ever come to Cleveland let me know. I'll treat you to a tour at the Rock Hall of Fame. Peace and love to you and all of our "family" here.

The whole album is a must. It’s a masterpiece, one song flowing into the other.

This album is designed to be listened to in its entirety in one sitting. The music makes much more sense and flows from beginning to end. Doesn't really matter to us but you are doing yourselves a disservice by listening to "songs"

If you get the chance to see Roger Waters in concert this year, you have to do it !! He is 78 and still puts on quite a show ! It is more than a concert , it is an experience !! Keep those Pink Floyd reactions coming !!

When life seems to just give me a beat down, I put on head phones and play this album from start to finish.

This is an album you must listen to from start to finish. Part of Pink Floyd's Dark side of the moons genius is engineering done by Alan Parsons who went on to record and perform some Fantastic musical works

I know you guys reacted to Michael Martin Murphy and his song, Wildfire, but it wasn’t the live performance. I hate to have to say this, but you need to do another reaction to this song, but it HAS TO BE the live version . The studio version doesn’t come close, . If you thought you enjoyed the studio version, just wait until you hear and see this live performance. It’s one of the most musically beautiful performances that I have seen. I hope you can make time to do it. You will be glad you did . Thank you.
