I just want to say, I am so excited for you to react to this show, it truly is amazing! I’ve been in the fandom since the beginning with the graphic novels, and stuck with it all the way to the very end, and it’s become one of my favourite series. I even got to be a part of the show - thanks to my dad who storyboarded 4 eps in season 2, was able to add my family and I in the show as a surprise, and get one of my ideas used - which is still so insanely crazy to me. Not enough people react to or even know about this series, and seeing you pick it up has made me so so happy💖. Sorry bout the little rant lol- I just have so much love for Hilda, and can’t wait to watch your journey with it!!

Yes, thank you! This is the show that I voted for in that poll; it's my little brother's favourite series! He wrote into the showrunners a few years ago, and Kurt Mueller (Hilda's producer) actually wrote him back a very heartfelt response about how he shared his letter with the team, and sent him a bunch of Hilda merch (including a stuffed Twig he always keeps by his bed now). No spoilers, but the finale was super fun to watch together! The show doesn't get nearly as much attention as it deserves (although one of the speakers who gave one of the degree-wide lectures for the animation program I'm in spoke really highly of it for its puppet animation), so I'm really happy that you're sharing the show with so many people! Just for fair warning, even though they are all around twenty-two minute episodes (besides the specials and two-parters), there's absolutely no consistency for whether an episode gets a cold open or starts right at the theme song (okay, so that probably doesn't bother most people, but it drives my autistic mind up the wall just a little). I haven't read the graphic novels that its based on, but my brother really loves them (he has the whole series); so they're definitely worth checking out once you're finished with the show, or just not too concerned about spoilers.

Sidenote - I am not sure how Netflix presents the episodes now. There was a 85min movie/ special in the show and its not optional for the story. In the episodeguide its listed as Season 2 episode 14 - Hilda and the mountainking. So it might just come up in order after S2 e13.
