I think another big factor in the Indie Animation Revolution is how unsupportive major Hollywood Studios have been toward animation. Young Artists aren't gonna pitch their new ideas to Cartoon Network, Disney, Nickelodeon, or even Netflix, because those companies aren't gonna welcome them.

Anyone notice that the pageant mom that Maggot ate called the cops on them because they were poor, not because they were robbing her. My assessment of the three so far: Vinnie- She's the de facto leader of the bunch. Skipp- A delightful ginger cinnamon roll Stone- somewhat is a tsudere but also the most grounded of the trio BTW- I can also do a backflip only when unobserved and perform telepathy only with myself.

If you want some recommendations to more Indie stuff on KZbin, there’s Scattershot (it’s much like Ramshackle) and Diamond Jack, which is about a Heist by a gentlewoman thief. Both aren’t long at all, but they’re enjoyable all the same. Edit: Detective Alice and the inside Game is technically an animatic, but it’s got a great story all the same, good voice acting and good action scenes.

Some things I learned about ramshackle (not sure if all of these are still true as some were said awhile back and some more recently) the characters (vinnie, stone, and skipp) are 16-17 and skipp is the oldest (I assume stone is probably the youngest) the timeline is set in the 1800s and that adds up with the currency. Stone actually comes from a rich family because his sister is (i don’t remember her name lol 12:32 in the pilot not reaction vid) and she’s actually his older sister in her late twenties and she deals “candy” I’m sure that not all of this is still canon or will be when this becomes a show, but that’s what we kinda know is canon-ish. Hope this helps a bit!

As someone who used to work at a movie theater, trust me the price difference makes perfect sense, a little exaggerated maybe, but feeling wise makes sense. I saw people spending as much on concessions as I did at the time on my groceries for that week (poor paying job, but was right before the prices for food started to go off the real deep end), Yeah people were spending over a hundred dollars for a tray of what amounted to four liters of soda a gallon bucket of popcorn, some hotdogs, and a handful of candy...like...its 2-3 hours...how much do you need to eat in that time? and seriously, you can buy all of that for a quarter of the price anywhere.

I think Vinny is actually transgender MTF my reasoning behind that is 1. Flat chest. Now I get it summer naturally born females are born with flat chest and stuff like that and although that may be a possibility for Vinny I don't really think so cause girls at Vinny's age are supposed to have breasts. And it's uncommon for flat chests for teens 2. Vinny has a deep voice for her age. Again this could still do with her hormone level but let me just remind you that most girls Vinny's age have a higher pitch to voice. Vinny's voice is also a bit raspy which is more common in guys then girls. 3. Why was Vinny kicked out of her house??? Transphobic parents possibly!?? 4. Vinny can't get top surgery or estrogen because she is a scrap she does not have any money. 5. This would fit really well for her character development. 6. Vinny is short for Vincenzo and vinny isn't really a female name or nickname. The female version would be Vicky for Victoria. But then again Vicky is also short for Victor. What do you guys think about this?

Wait I actually love this especially the theory of her parents, but she did make a face when they found maggot, “and he’s all alone in this world with nobody to take care of him” maybe that was her. Maybe her parents wanted a girl (maybe for the pageants??), had a boy, and threw her out. This pilot definitely does its job of getting us hooked and wanting more. Things beyond the pilot may be very different but it seems to be leaning more episodic than serialized right now.
