SO EASY - How to change your

If your Monport K40 CO2 laser isn’t firing as it should, or just doesn’t have the same output that you feel it used to, then it might be time to align your mirrors. Whether your machine is brand-new or you’ve been using it for a while, it’s never a bad time to check your mirror alignment. It’s honestly pretty easy and something that should become part of the routine maintenance of your CO2 laser.

Great video! Question - did you get your replacement tube from Monport or was it another brand? I need to replace my tube but Monport doesnt have any available at this time..

My replacement tube was from Monport directly, but honestly any 40W tube should work fine. People even upgrade to 55W by swapping the power supply and extending the side out.

Nice video. I just bought a K40 on Ebay and i will have to change the tube. Can i ask what are the measurements. The one that i keep seeing in the search results are 720mm 50mm diameter. Just want to make sure I get the right one :) Cheers

I actually don't have the K40 at my main shop anymore, so I can't get the specific measurements of this one. But, I do know that Monport's K40 40W tube is 720mm long and 50mm diameter, so that sounds correct!

Would you know if its possible to fit a more powerful tube with the standard power supply? I read that the 40w tube is actually 40w pick, so it's more a 30w... Thanks 👍

@@alb673 You can only do a 40W with the standard housing and power supply. You’ll need a longer housing/extension plus a better power supply for a more powerful tube

Some questions. Is this the k40 pro? Does it come with that adjustable bed?

This is the older K40 from Monport. Mine (nor the K40 Pro) come with adjustable beds. The K40 Pro does come with an adjustable nozzle though
