I really love this tutorial, and your channel in general. I enjoy your style of narrating a lot, sometimes it can be quite all over the place but that's okay! I actually really like that, it makes your videos a lot more 'real' than some others I've seen on KZbin

I’ve designed a similar case (complete with outside zippered pocket or possibly turning the inner book sleeves to zippered pockets) for the current supplies I’m using, but I haven’t made it yet. Why? _Because I can’t sew!_ I have the machine and all accessories but not the guts to do it without instruction. _Since buying the machine, I’ve learned no one I know who knows how to sew with a machine wants to _*_teach_*_ how to do it._ You make it look so easy! You also make this look like a good beginner project but I’d love to see how you handle the added pencil case. Thank you for taking the time to do this. Also, congratulate Lee on his Skillshare commercial, it was adorable!

I’m trying to start this process. Is it possible to sew multiple fabrics together and it having the same thick outcome with the padding? Where can you find the padding
@missmckennaslifeleverage60282 жыл бұрын
You could do it with multiple fabrics but you'd need to pin them really well to stop them slipping out of place, I'd actually stitch the fabrics together before you start assembling it all so that it doesn't move out of place. The stuff I used is called batting material, you can usually get it from fabric shops or on online, but you don't actually need it to make the cover, it just makes it a little padded in the end 😁

This was just so nice to watch and I would like more. It is making me want to sew though and that's never good because I have neither a sewing machine nor the patience and time to hand sew anymore. I used to love hand sewing and made doll clothes but with a 3yo and a newborn you give some things up for a bit. Either way, very nice video to watch. I did enjoy sewing vicariously through you. I can already imagine the beautiful things you'll make. Oh and if you could do one with a zip, I've never understood how to stop them. The starts fine but what do you do at the end? This is a silly question, especially for experienced sewers (lol that's likely not the word, seamstresses) but I always had difficulty and we all have our blindspots okay.
