Brantley had a friend who came back in a box therefore the first verse but the second verse is about Brantley's cousin Cory he got cancer and before he died he fought the good fight by proclaiming being unafraid to die due to his faith a real man right there it is not just about soldiers it is about facing that ultimate reward. One hell of an Amen!

My wife and I were best friends since teen years. We went into the Marines together and were deployed together to Afghanistan. She fought cancer for 14 years on and off. We were given the news she had a few months left early last year. We got married and she past on 10/13/2020. She left behind 2 amazing teen girls from her husband who had previously passed. Those girls have become my daughters and the blessing that has saved me everyday. Raising them as my own is a true joy. But she was not afraid even once. Her fight song was Fear by Blue October. When you have a chance would you please react to it. Love you guys. Lots of love from TN

Brantley is an amazing song writer. He’s written songs that are straight kick ass but then he writes some like Just As I Am about redemption, then Three Feet of Water about salvation. With baby Luca coming you should review The Man That Hung the Moon, it is BEAUTIFUL and Brantley wrote it to his new baby boy. It speaks to what being a Dad is all about. Also Hard Days and The Ones That Like Me are great. Brantley also wrote Dirt Road Anthem that Jason Aldean took to #1. Anthem is one that you would really like J. And I suggested Small Town Throwdown , sooo fun, with Thomas Rhett and JUSTIN MOORE when y’all reviewed If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away? Keep up the good work!! ♥️♥️ And God bless our men and women in uniform and the sacrifices that make to keep us safe and free!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

@wildbronco0383 жыл бұрын
The only problem with reacting to Garth is that (if you're using KZbin), 90% of the Garth you see is not actually him, it's covers, so reactors have to either go into it knowing they're listening to covers, or make the effort to find either one of the few music videos on YT or a live version.

@@marymimi9365 Actually he wrote it before he met Colt Ford. You can find a video of Brantley in his garage when he was between 17 & 19. I have been a KZbin junkie since it first started. Look for Brantley Gilbert garage/home. No, it isn't the whole song, but it is there. I am a music freak. I listen to almost everything. So I find odd things by putting in different ways of spelling or changing a word.

@@that1mamalady When and where did you write the song? FORD: We wrote the song at Brantley’s house in Athens, Georgia. I was going to pick him up to go write with our friend, Mike Dekle, a veteran songwriter. Brantley just said, “I got an idea for you,” and he had the melody and most of the chorus. There is something about that melody, and I think Brantley is great with that. It's from the "americansongwriter.com" website and it is called "the story behind the song: Jason Aldean, "Dirt Road Anthem""

I write this comment with tears running down my cheek. On May 18, 2006, my nephew US Army 1LT Robert A. Seidel, III was killed in action in Baghdad, Iraq. The last times I saw Rob was a few months earlier when he was on R&R and he kept playing the song When I Get Where I'm Going by Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton; he said it was his favorite song. There wasn't a dry eye in the more than a thousand people who attended when I played it at his funeral on Memorial Day 2006. I think of Rob every day as I put a pin with his photo on. All of those who knew him were blessed to have known him. If you want another profound song about life and death then you should react to When I Get Where I'm Going by Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton.

Other bangers by Brantley: Kick It in the Sticks, Country Must Be Country Wide, Small Town Throwdown, More Middle Fingers (feat. Justin Moore), and Read Me My Rights. Brantley is known for his patriotism and support of the military. Also, note the badass brass knuckles on the mic. On a recorded live cover of Hank Williams, Jr.'s song Outlaw Women (which is another one you should react to) a vet gives BG his purple heart to recognize his patriotism.
