Moving Beyond the Page. This is a all in one curriculum that my kids love. I also make extensive use of unit studies too. I love that it covers all ages and abilities as well. My kids are two so I have just ordered the lowest level I could find to start with.

I am excitied about Math. 😊. We have lots of resources from loose parts, work books to manipulatives, Interactive Notebooks or activities. Build Your Library level 4 (for my 5th & 3rd graders)., Teaching textbooks for math, and lots of read aloud books together. They do science at their homeschool co op. Next year I am switching to Brave Writer for language arts and apologia anatomy for science.

I love all the BJU english/reading choices. I am eager to hear how that goes and what the inside looks like. There are a couple other youtubers that are going that route and I cant wait to hear all the reviews on it. We were torn between Sonlight and Beautiful Feet Books. We ended up sticking with Sonlight again this year but I do love all the picture books that BFF offers.

We used shiller Math - my kids loved it, but I hated the way it was organized. My regret was that I did not stick with this in their early years and find a way to organize it so it suited both my children and myself. We now use Teaching Textbooks, it may not be the most in depth math on the market but it has worked with all my children.

We did BJU English 4 a couple years ago and we actually really enjoyed it! I liked that it alternates between grammar and writing.

We love BJU Press English. We do Abeka from K-2 and then switch to BJU from 3-6. I love the alternating chapters of grammar and writing. I also love that there are daily lessons assigned to the pages, so that my child knows exactly what they need to do for that day. We haven't gotten to 7th yet, so we will have to see. I hope you enjoy your year!

Next year will possibly change for my little ohana. My oldest will be attending 6th grade in public school. My 2 ASD keiki might both attend public school kindergarten and 1st grade (all depending if the public school will give them the IEP they need). My 2yo will be home with me alone and I will be reading lots of books to her and am looking what I can give her for fun. However if my 2 ASD children won't be in public school they will be using either Good and Beautiful Kindergarten and 1st grade or CLE Kindergarten 5 and 1st grade (dependent on what I can afford).

I’m really excited to start using Layers of Learning in our homeschool this coming year! It’s more like a menu than a structured curriculum but I e been trying to put together my own ancient history study and feeling a little lost, so I think this is just what we need. We’ll be using First Grade Math with Confidence for my wiggly kid, continuing TG&TB Math 3 for my 9 year old and starting the Key to Series with Fractions for my soon to be 11 year old. I’m also really excited to try more of the new TG&TB science units! We’ve loved Safety and really want to try out Birds next.

This is our first year homeschooling. I have an only child in 8th grade. We’re doing Build Your Library and Math U See fractions re-fresher and pre-algebra. We’re also doing science unit studies with nutrition and electronics.

I can’t decide which we’re most excited about 🤪 we are trying out Beowulf Grammar and The Let’s talk science level 4 next year. The grammar looks so fun and I love I can do it with both of my school kiddos at the same time. R. E. A. L Science Odyssey, I am so excited to use it. Hands on learning and I can do nearly weekly field trips with it! Animal classification? PetCo field trip! Reach out to farmers you know and they’ll even teach you how to set a worm trap! Animal kingdom? The local college has a beautiful botany building that they love the chance to show off. Geology? Again, contact the college. Hands on learning is the best for my son.💗💗
