I’m also a huge pilot Kakuno fan. The blue is lovely. 👏👏👏

I was at the Philadelphia Pen Show. Pilot had an impressive table and tons of Kakuno pens!

I also wanted a "US" color Pilot Custom 74 and ended up getting a gray one too due to the price difference. I wanted the orange one but similar story! Thanks for another great video!

That orange is cool! I like that color for the 74 (and 92) as well!

I have a custom painted kakuno that I love a lot, it has little starts on it! wish I could send you one! pilot please make broad and MF nibs for these pens !
@paulmchugh1430 Жыл бұрын
It is a fun pen. I don't have one, but like that nibs can be swapped. Looks like it can be eyedropper filled. It seems to be large enough to use a CON-70 converter. Very good presentation.

Fitting the Con70 is definitely a plus! Even though it costs just about as much as the pen itself ;)

The family Kakunos are great. Picked up some on my trip to Japan. I can only pray for a broad (I know, futile). The demos look cool with a CON-70 in them. Try putting a Kaweco clip if you have one, it seems to fit well in the cap recess.

Thanks for the tip about the Kaweco clip!

I feel the same way but for me it's green and purple instead of blue. That's why I was delighted when Pilot released the Custom 74 in Forest Green over a year ago. I am still waiting for them to bring out more colours for the Custom Heritage 92 before buying one, because none of the current ones appeal to me. Aesthetic and performance have to go hand in hand for me to buy a pen. I'd rather spend a little bit more to get it in the colour I want. Btw, I think FigbootOnPens got that KoP from Fountain Pen Hospital you were talking about.

Fun video. Loved story time! I have both the clear and the blue in fine and xf and they are amazing. Do you think the line that the Pilot gold nibs put down run slightly larger? I would love a pilot gold nib right between a Kokuno xf and f.
@seattlepenclub Жыл бұрын
In my experience, the mediums on the #5 size gold nibs run wide but not on the #10 and larger nibs. The M nib on my 823 is definitely finer than the M on my 74. The #15 size F nibs I've used from Pilot might do the trick!

@@annamarielewis7078 I see it now. It must be the lighting in this video or in the Amazon listing photos, as it appears to be a darker blue in the video than on Amazon. Thanks.

I have four Kakunos, but I haven’t seen any colors. I’m cheap, so if they are more that the clear ones, I won’t buy it. I think charging more for colors is just so rude. Unless it’s a special edition one.💝
@buck-pucker Жыл бұрын
They're the same price in Japan. Up to retailers and resellers for the rest of the world, although it's worth noting that Pilot NA just increased the official retailer price of the Kakuno to $14 and change. Pensachi (known for dubious sky high markups) is selling them for $10.
