So Far Away (2016) precedes Snooze (2023) by a couple of years. In So Far away, he talks about his own struggles, of having to find the energy and the passion to continue the path of an artist. In Snooze, he's reaching out to all those who've felt like him. In So Far Away, he's almost reassuring himself... telling himself to Dream. In Snooze, he's passing on the wisdom to other young artists, as that 'Dream' verse is repeated. (We all screamed when we heard Snooze the first time). In Snooze he' s also reminding new artists that they don't have to walk the path alone like he did, because he will be there to catch them. So the order would be - So Far Away >> Snooze.

oh my finally you checked it out 😭😭😭😭 the first time i listened to this song i cried my eyes out. esp during the time when i feel like i am lost, with no direction… that’s why i relate so much to Yoongi his songs resonate to so many people.. listen to So Far Away then Snooze and that “dream” verse become more powerful imo because in So Far Away Yoongi is so lost, like he feels like he is going nowhere then in Snooze he followed the dream he realized after that period of being lost and now wanting to help and support younger artists in their pursuit of their dreams. btw, Yoongi loves the electric guitars in his songs, Dear My Friend and Tomorrow (prod SUGA & Slow Rabbit) also have it, some of his songs that evoke so many emotions has EGs . btw People and People pt. 2 is like So Far Away & Snooze, like connecting songs, the difference in his thought process during the 1st and the pt. 2.. ooh yes the vocal line! I absolutely love Suran's version of So Far Away, but the combination of Jin/JK + tying in to Suga's "First Love" song and I just can't. First Love is one of my favorite songs from Suga and combined with another favorite song in So Far Away and you just can't beat it

i absolutely have to recommend 724148 - it's a song from his first mixtape and it hurts me how underrated it is IT'S SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! i swear the last, so far away and 724148 are my favorites from his first mixtape and i might even say from all of his songs...but then id definitely would have to add what do you think, snooze, moonlight, people, strange, polar night and well...literally his whole discography but i swear 724148 and well all the other songs i've listed here are so worth listening

So far away always makes me cry. It helped me when I was like your friend - an heavy smoker losts in her life and ashamed. I'm better now, partly thanks to Agust D and BTS. Love the two versions. The Suran's one is the more painful, beautiful but icy, ethereal, like a near death experience that makes you reconsider your life. The Jin & JK's one is like a warm hug that helps you get back on your feet after the revelation of the first version. So both are importante for me. Thanks to react! Yoongi is my bias, but I can't wait for you to dive into his bros works.

Back in Daegu, he often got ripped off for his work either not getting paid at all or only so little that he had to choose between taking the bus home or have a meal and walk for two hours. Even once he signed with Big Hit their financial situation wasn't stable for the first few years. From his parents' point of view it's understandable that they wanted him to pursue the conventional path of college and then either accountant or government official. They've since come around. Suga produced a song for Suran, Alcohol, for which he won an award.

I love the Jin/JK version. They sang it with such emotion, but in a gentle, more ethereal/sublime way. I also prefer the instrumental remix in that version, and how Yoongi panned his voice left to right (and back again) at one point... feels like floating. Beautiful, heartfelt song. 😌

Loved, loved your reaction. Using visions, descriptions I really enjoy. I like both songs, not sure I have heard the one with Jin and Jk ( loved your input on their parts vocally). I think that the one with Suran, is different like almost a loss of hope, confidence, ing whereas the one with Jin and Jk was like be blessed in your journey of your dream and then Snooze is about passing on what you have learned from both. The feeling of not ever getting your dream or your crazy to have it, to being hopeful and knowing something good will come of all of this, then passing your knowledge of your struggle on to someone else knowing that what you went through others have or will experience the same or something similar and you give them the answers you found. You ( Suga) wants to give you hope, encouragement to keep going towards what you see the dream no matter what it is. Wanting all of creation to bless you. Amazing. Not sure if you have reacted to J Hope More and Arson, you should. I would do both in that order. there is a live performance actually two, but do mv first. I have my reason. I do not want to give spoilers if you have seen then you may already know. Also, I would watch First Love (the piano) and then the one with Suran, then JIn and Jk and then Snooze. You might could even throw in Black Swan before Snooze ( not sure the timeline) maybe before Jin and Jk I need to listen to again. Suga tells a story and takes you on a journey with him. Beautiful. He even finished it off on the last day of the finale of his concert. Spolier: Suga shows Army his tatoo, which I think it had been a year since all the members got one, and we saw each one at different times, but not his till that night, streaming live. More spoiler: he walks through the door of Amygdala and waves from the other side. I appreciate that you have discovered Suga/ Agust D / BTS . l believe in the power of words and what they can bring to you. Suga struggle was real, it was for all of them and their passions is that no one else has to experience the hell they have. Or if you are experiencing that in your life how to get out of it. That is such a high calling, to prophetically speak into someone else's life. To do it through song and then it goes around the world speaks of its power. Behind it all is love. I believe something is in you, and you are rubbing shoulders and something is being deposited in you. Blessings

A slight correction in the lyrics - it's "So far away....Don't fall away" instead of "So far away....Don't far away". In Korean 'L' and 'R' like sounds share the same alphabet, so even the lyrics the label released got it wrong the first time around and Yoongi clarified it later. It echoes his words at 3:58 - 4:02 just before the 2nd chorus 'meoreojine, tteoreojine' translated as 'So far away, I'm falling'.
