Just like I said...A tease! Now you feel good, surprised and curious to listen more. House of Cards is a very nice song of theirs early years (2016), they were still so young but already so good. So "The Truth Untold" next! For the color coded lyrics: it's the easiest way to look at the lyrics indeed, but: 1. the most viewed are often the worst translation, 2. some add their own music in the end to share/steal copyright with BTS (so at least use the ones with the same exact timing as the original song) , 3. it's less view for BTS Doolset is always the best to have good translation with context and cultural reference (but not as practical as color coded to follow the song)

you can listen to color coded lyrics, you just need to pick a good account for that. many choose those with the most views, but they get those views because they release the translation the fastest, which they able to do because they spend the least time on the actual translation and it's often not a good one.

I find that a lot of the color coded lyrics are wrong and you end up losing the meaning of the song a little, like on this song, I always go to Enjoy BTS more to watch her translations are really good

⁠@TEEJ seconding this. Enjoy BTS more uses Doolset translations and adds some notes from Doolset in the description. It’s the best for live content. Dial is a good one for color coded.

Great reaction. BTW, that Jimin and Jungkook on the high note. Two beautiful voices! It seems that most of the lyric videos are a little inaccurate at times. For me, the live version was amazing!

Yes most lyric videos don't show JK doing the harmony with another member. It's much better watching live videos as you see who is singing what part.

For me, it sounds like a couple arguing and pleading with each other as they break up. The intensity (the fast bits) and exhaustion (slow bits) that comes with break up.

It's such a haunting song. Jin's "no way" is so beautiful. I don't know music but someone who does was talking about how the notes are unexpected so it catches your ear. And I think that feeling you have is the feeling you are meant to have. A house of cards is something that isn't meant to last so describing your relationship like that is tough. lol. Many channels scramble to put out lyric videos as soon as they can, for maximum views. They are often grossly incorrect. Some even tack on random music to skirt copyright, so that BTS doesn't get any ad revenue for their own songs.

This song is just so musically interesting... And passionate and painful. I love it 😅 I'm a giant fan of vocal line showing off what they can do. This was so long ago! They've only gotten better. Man...this brings back so many memories. As someone who was once so invested in fanfictions...I knew very well that things are going to be spiced up once this song starts in the background ☻️ Iykyk😅 It was only until I saw the color coded lyrics of this song n realised what it actually means...nothing close to what fanfiction writers portrayed with this song in the background 😂 but still its true that the music of house of cards sounds a lot sensual, contradictory to its sad lyrics🥲

I just got to see your reaction and Wow! Others already spoke about the lyrics not always an exact translation, but I do like that you also watched the live after. I’m not sure if it was because you said House of Cards was too short, but I absolutely love the live you watched! Each member gets me with the deep emotional ways they approach their parts and how the hand offs go. I really love it because you can also hear or see the ones who ad lib at the time. For me, the melody is also hauntingly beautiful. get chills from that. I don’t know why you do either but I love the melody bc it goes from major notes 🎶 and then jumps to a minor or diminished chords. The way they combine these is so BTS and I get chills from the ranges and the range of emotions. Thank you Teej, from 1 long time ARMY to you. Oh yeah! Love your reaction as always. I think the reason I like it is because it is like dancing vocals, if that makes sense? And of course, well, they look good doing it. LOL. Glad you did the live version. Those color coded lyrics always scare me. I don't watch reactors using them, typically. Haha. You are my exception and only because you do a live. Also, Dial 6137 are good if you have to do a lyric video. I don't know, the color coded are fun, for sure, but a lot of time are rushed out with rushed lyrics that never get fixed. Saying "dancing vocals" makes perfect sense to me. I prefer to visualize feeling etc. Yeah, I like adding lives to these b/c it gives a full feeling to the experience (to me at least).

When I first started down the BTS rabbithole, I relied on a lot of those lyrics videos. A lot of ARMY hate them, especially now that most BTS content now comes fully translated (officially) and they aren't needed. Also, apparently they can make a lot of money from them. So in that sense, they are "stealing" from BTS. Also yes, "House of Cards" is legend. One of my early favourites. This and "Let Me Know", a similar tone, which also has the rap line, really hooked me in all those years ago.
