This LCI M60 model actually has a proper M engine in it, although it is detuned. The new mild hybrid S68 will be the flagship V8 for a long time. I think in the XM and the next M5, X5M, X6M, etc.

The difference between M3 and M340I is not that big in terms of power. The "M" badge is strictly for handling & suspension with a slight power increase. Drive a M340 and turn at 120mph, drive a M3 and turn at 120mph on highway. See the difference.

Had a 2022 X6M50i in Ametrine Metallic. Was a very nice car for commuting and opening up on rural roads. Traded for a 2023 M5 Comp because I was worried I would tip it over on tight curves. That said it was a really nice interior space for 4 adults. The sky lounge LED sunroof made me feel like a rapper. All that said, sub-three second 0-60 in the M5 is amazing and glad I traded.

I think they rebranded the M50i to the M60i because of the M engine, M50i didn’t use an M engine. M60i uses the exact same engine as the X5M/X6M just detuned.

I actually own a previous gen X5 50i and I absolutely love it. I’m not a huge fan of the new front bumper design. It has way too much plastic and the infotainment is beautiful and stunning, but slightly less user friendly and less practical. The only upside to the newer version would be the mild hybrid to help with power delivery and the creeping in grid lock traffic… but definitely not enough to get me to upgrade from my current BMW

I really Like iDrive 8, but i think that having removed the Hard 1-8 Buttons and climate control, is not that good specially when you are driving and wanting to change your fan speed, temperature or turn on Heated or Cooled seats... still i would love to have that screen but with hard buttons to be safer while driving.

The Infotainment screen is growing on me. I'm not a fan of the change to the headlights but they will grow on me as well. I Always Loved the Taillights. M60i may be the sweet spot. 525 Horsepower vs 617 Horsepower. I can go with 525 I just hate that there is no Shift Stick for M60i like their is on the M Comp. Plus it saves $20,000-in my case $40,000 since I will get it Fully Loaded.
