I know your video was published two years ago. I wanted you to know that your review was so helpful in making my decision to purchase this expensive and awesome food processor. I've been eating whole foods, plant based for almost 5 months now and slicing and dicing was starting to wear me down. I knew in order to make my dietary changes last longterm, I needed help and this processor is it! It just came today and I've put it through it's paces. I absolutely love it!

how is the cleanup? I have a vegetable chopper that I don't feel saves me time because of the cleanup and this seems similar.
@createwithconfidence80942 жыл бұрын
@@CarolinaFlorezCoaching I run a sink of soapy dish water. I place the pieces in the water and swish the pieces around the water. I may use a paper towel to wipe around the bowl to ensure it gets clean. But I usually just use my hands and fingers. I rinse and lay out the pieces to dry. The vegetable chopper I had was much harder to clean than my Breville food processor.

I and my gf like to cook Mexican over the weekend. She is in charge of pico de gallo and it takes her about 2 hours to make. We received our peel and dice food processor yesterday and it took her 1 hour to do first batch and 5mins to do the second batch. THATS INSANE!! We also did the guacamole in the mini bowl and later made salsa from scratch, and both of them took about 30 mins (including looking up salsa recipe and cleaning).

Thank you so much for doing this video. I have had the slice and dice pieces for a long time, like YEARS ! I’ve watched your video more than once. I made a quadruple batch of New England Clam Chowder today. I used the slice and dice for the potatoes, I also used the standard pieces to do the carrots, celery and onion but next time, I’ll use the slice and dice for the onion. I wasn’t ready last night to use the slice and dice when I did the onions. I watched your video today and said “That’s it, I’m using it !” I did it right the first time thanks to carefully watching you and how you put the parts together to use it. Chowder made and all in the freezer. Thanks so much ! I won’t be scared to use it anymore !

I've been making pico for at least 15 years now, and have been using an Nemco EZ chopper for the dice work for the last 10 or so. I found this video because I am considering buying the Breville Sous Chef for making salsa, slaw, etc. Might also use this for pico, but it did look like it was tearing the tomatoes up, which I sort of expected because of either the distribution arm or how it feeds from a lateral movement to vertical. I always leave the core in (some knife work required). I drain the juice and save it for use it in other things (soups, marinades because I'm an omnivore, etc). I fabricated a 1 gallon storage solution that strains out, leaving about an inch of room for juice collection.

I love how much attention to detail you have. I used to just make things like this with a straight S blade without worrying about the dicing. But this definitely looks nice! Easy to follow presentation. Being a relatively new home cook, I just purchased this Breville food processor, and wanted to watch a few video demos, before reading the user’s manual in order to get more comfortable with using this product. Appreciate your pointing out that the 8MM and 16MM dicing disks were not included with this processor. I thought they were included from looking at the pictures on the box… Would have been frustrating to have been ready to use them in following a recipe, and realized they were “sold separate” accessories ($130 accessories + $500 food processor = $630... Expensive!). Your pico recipe demo is an excellent example of how to use this food processor, and encouraged me to make some of my own pico!
