Stevie Winwood as a teenager, tearing it up! They also do Gimme Some Loving, that you need to hit as well. Amber, the way you groove, you are not only in the wrong decade but the wrong century! My dear, you would have just loved the late 60s and seventies for music and the vibe of the hippie community. Steve Winwood is a freaking treasure, try him when you can with the Blind Faith classic, Had to Cry Today, Eric Clapton has one of his very best solos in that tune, they were on a mission from God! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶

I generally prefer studio versions of most songs to live performances, as the live versions often don't capture all the subtleties of a studio mix, and most live versions have a lot of improvisation that for me, is too different from the original. However, Chicago's Tanglewood performance is excellent, and very faithful to the studio version.

This was during the era of the Hammond B3 electric organ, and you can hear the Leslie Speaker. The Leslie had a treble speaker driver which had two output horns which were rotated by an electric motor. It had a woofer that had a motorized rotating drum paired to it. The organist controls the rotation speed. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leslie_speaker

The SDG did several blues tunes and Steve's voice was so right for those songs. Everybody covered this, including Chicago. When the movers and shakers in the London music scene were told about this 15 year old kid in Birmingham who sounded just like Ray Charles, they said, sure, next time we're in Alabama we'll check it out - then got corrected, "No, he's in Birmingham, ENGLAND!" - Steve Winwood wrote and sang this and that's Steve also playing the Hammond Organ. GIMME SOME LOVIN' is also a 'must'. Also, hit GLAD and MEDICATED GOO by Traffic and CAN'T FIND MY WAY HOME by Blind Faith (Steve Winwood songs).
