So Fun! Madonna - Borderline Reaction

It’s a shame that now people seem to always be caught up in the controversy surrounding the “work” that Madonna gets done to her appearance or with what she posts on her social media, and her brilliance as a pop culture icon seems often to have been overlooked and forgotten about. Those that were there from the start of her journey back in 1982 are the only ones that truly understand her monumental influence on pop music. 💚

When I heard this in 1983, something happened to me, I felt something and it changed my life, 40 yrs later, she has been such a bright color in me, I am a total unconditional superfan, everyday of my life has a part of Madonna in it, the words of her songs speak to me, I've seen her almost 50 times and have incredible memories, some being backstage meeting her, I could go on for hours, my collection is thru the roof, I just wanted to share a bit of me with the both of you, I promise, I'm not a psycho, lol.. ALL HAIL THE QUEEN !!! 👑

That rap dancing scene, in the beginning, was our hood, lol - we would split a cardboard box and lay it flat on the footpath or an abandoned warehouse and start making our moves - we used cardboard because its free and your body slides over it when you spin - a lot of aching bodies after our session... no distraction and everybody was living for the moment in the present - I wouldn't say I like cell phones and social media - I only have youtube because it's a platform to share your art/interest/skill or watch another person/group around the world. The first time I saw Madonna was her video “Burning up”. I was a teenager watching MTV as usual. My Mom yelled at me for watching so much. I told her that it was just like listening to the radio, with the bonus of visuals. My stance has not changed on that. Anyway, when I saw her first video I remember I thought= Who is this skank? I even wrote a report about her at school. I picked her because she’s from Michigan. Hope you enjoyed my story time for you.

I've only just discovered your reaction videos and really enjoying them so far. I was a teenager in the 80s and loved Madonna from the beginning. I've been following the recent Celebration Tour and now that I am older I am appreciating all her music on a much deeper level than ever before. I get what you are saying, that when you are younger you often don't appreciate it fully. Borderline has always been one of my faves. But she did a surprise performance on the Jimmy Kimmel Tonight Show performing it for the first time …. MAJOR EPIC ICONIC moment for Madonna fans around the world….
