I’ve been racking my brain as to why we don’t (until more recently) hear Kelly referred to as a diva. I believe it’s because she’s humble. Kelly isn’t afraid of telling us her story, tears and all, knowing everyone who hears her lyrics can relate in one way or another. Kelly hasn’t let fame go to her head, she’s still that wide eyed 20 year old American Idol contestant who seemed genuinely amazed that she had won. Diva isn’t Kelly’s style. Let’s stick with Queen and go from there.

Heck I’ve watched this one and the other one multiple times. It was amazing . The other one she was sick and had to go to hospital after and get appendix surgery. She was in so much pain ( this was the year where she sat next to TerryCrews for a minute and Gronk was security telling Kelly to move lol and Paula pretended not to know her). Point being, she’s such a professional to deal with all of that pain and not let anyone down(though I’m sure people would understand). But she doesn’t make it look like work. I’ve loved her since season 1 of Idol, then I went to see her on tour about 2 years after season 1. AMAZING. And that was only the beginning of her career. Can only imagine her life performances now!

She hosted again in 2019 and did another incredible medley. She also covered Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” with the acapella group Pentatonix and legendary drummer Sheila E. for the 2020 ceremony. Hope you check those out as well! Also, I highly recommend you check out her performance of John Legend’s “U Move, I Move” with her team from The Voice a few seasons back. It’s one of the best performances ever on the show and proves how great Kelly is at nurturing talent and sharing the spotlight as she gives her entire team moments to shine without making you forget she’s the star.

The guitarist that you saw is not the one that currently is on her show (Jaco) but the one that appears here is normally with her and has been with her during her tours. Ever since then, the Billboard Music Awards have not been the same for me, she did phenomenally! During this year's Grammy event, the host said something very funny (but true), he said: “If you take long to accept your award there will be consequences, we will have Kelly Clarkson covering one of your songs better than you could ever sing” (more or less). Every genre she finds a way to make her own. By the way, if I'm not wrong, it was her Musical Director (Jason, the one playing the piano on all her songs and who has been with her ever since she won American Idol) to made this Remix of all the hits of that year. The joke here is that at the beginning of the show she said she'd do the show, but she wanted it to be low-key, nothing outrageous. Instead, there were dancers, gymnastics and lights, looking like a Las Vegas show! A lot of people didn't catch the irony. The woman is phenomenal.

As you mentioned to be Elvis Presley fan, worth checking is also Kelly's version of Heartbreak Hotel which she recorded during covid lockdown. She literally sings her lungs out. Still for me one of her most memorable performances is the one where she honors Garth Brooks with "The Dance". I would suggest that you continue reacting to the Kellyokes, a video compilation of 5 every 2 weeks, they are the videos that Kelly's followers most support (myself included), plus as you know there are a lot, most of them very good and varied. I have rewatched this performance soooo many times. Back in 2005 our Kelly closed down the MTV Music Awards show with an amazing performance of Since U Been Gone. It would be great to see you react to that. She gave a raw performance and was a lil rebellious as she went ahead and did ehat they told her not to do! Its worth a watch!

This is just such a fun medley! And shows really great that she can just sing anything! There's just so much I could recommend with her having performances from over 20 years now! I don't remember if I have recommended this before, but her singing It's Quiet Uptown from Hamilton is really touching. She has a recording of this also and she did it while pregnant with her son. The song deals with losing a child, so she has said it was really upsetting singing this one while pregnant. Another great one is Never Enough from Greatest Showman she recorded. For that one there's only tour live performances. I was lucky enough to attend her Meaning of Life tour where she sang both of these songs. It was the best surprise! All the live performances by Kelly you'll watch will be great! There just isn't one that is bad! But check out all the Nashville sessions ones and Belasco ones for example!

Hey there, glad you watched this one, it's one of my go to videos when I need a little pick me up. The show is in Vegas and the showgirls, Thunder From Down Under (male review), Jabbawakeez (dance crew) and the Cirque du Soliel acrobatics, are all part of shows there. There are a couple songs I'm sure you knew but they sound so different in this arrangement. Too Good At Goodbyes by Sam Smith was the second song, and Thunder by Imagine Dragons was another. She did a similar medley the following year, though a lot less "chaos" in the background. That year, she famously was suffering with painful appendicitis during the show and went to hospital after for surgery in the early morning hours. She also has some great performances of her original songs both years that would be great for a reaction video (Whole Lotta Woman from my favorite album 'Meaning Of Life' and Broken & Beautiful from the 'Ugly Dolls' soundtrack). I'll be seeing Madonna in a couple of weeks, and watching your review of the show in London has got me even more excited! Cheers!

@bridgethegapreactions well you're full of surprises, especially with the Sam Smith song! As for M, I'm a pretty big fan. This'll be my 10th live show, but I'm also a realist and understand that A. she can only perform so many songs in one show, and B., she has her own favorites. People complain about this or that song, but in the end, if you're really a fan, your best bet is to get the tickets and be grateful she's giving it a go, then have a good time. My opinion, at least. I'm in the first level from the floor, just off center stage, 9th row. I've had 2nd to last row seats and 9th row on the floor next to the runway (literally got baptized with some Madonna "Holy sweat droplets"), and I find the mid section with a fulll stage view is my favorite place to sit. My partner and I saw her together for the first time the year we met and are celebrating 20 years together with this show. Full circle moment, blah, blah, blah.

Kelly is still my favorite idol with Carrie being a close 2nd. I remember when the show came out I thought it was stupid and didn't watch the first couple of episodes. One of my coworkers told me about it though and I started watching it and became an ardent viewer. There was another iconic and historical performance that night. It was BTS's first performance at the show. Anyone interested in music history should check it out. This group has broken records set by The Beatles and MJ. I feel fortunate to have lived through the British invasion of the 1960s, watching MJ grow up, then see two of the biggest acts in the world rise to fame because of their talent and the internet, Bieber and BTS.
