On PC this is near impossible to do against good players FYI. The mouse turn speed lets them block it easily even if their player model hasn't fully turned in time. On PC, the meta is either bait the enemy into attacking so you can do the "counter attack" glitch that lets you hurt them while still blocking, or gang banging. Doing the dodge maneuver just isn't reliable when people can instantly rotate. A good PC vader is near impossible to 1v1 if you are aggressive. Eventually, he runs out of stamina that you can use to your advantage, but a good vader will save his abilities for when he IS out of stam so when you go for the kill he will choke and saber throw you out and likely do more damage to you.

@@ChungmigWarrior Basically, you need to double or triple team most players now if they are "good". Let's face it, being "good" at the game simply means you dodge spam or block spam. Mr. Fruit doesn't do that, so he isn't being "good" lol Such a stupid meta. Dodging needs a HUGE nerf somehow, maybe reducing time between dodges or something. My issue is server latency+ dodging+ also being able to block spam (or spam attack if you are luke) leads to just cancer saber combat, which makes me just want to use stun characters. There needs to be a way for a saber hero to BREAK an enemy hero's block, even if they still have stamina.

Fun fact about lightsaber fighting: If you block (right click), you can hear the other lightsaber hit your lightsaber. The moment that happens, hit the attack button (left click) to deal normal damage to the opponent while not taking any damage yourself.

Mr Fruit, if you press your zoom in button, you are able to block. You have stamina, which prevents you from keep spamming block(stamina is the blue bar on top of the health bar). After a few blocks and attacks, you will lose all stamina. Stamina regenerates after a while. Also utilizing your dash button to dodge lightsaber attacks can help a lot. I suggest watching a video about lightsaber fights.

Ok seeing that your struggling here is some tips that might help, you can attack mid air, you can block as long as you have stamina but when you run out can't do anything including swinging and blocking. Attacks to people's backs do more damage then to their front. You have a Dodge as a hero too, you can use it to get behind them and do more damage like I said before or Dodge away since you take less damage if hit mid dodge. You can put away you lightsaber which makes you faster to run away or to get places faster, you do this by pressing the reload button. You can block force abilities. Throwing lightsaber will hit them when blocking on the way back.

So, Mr. Froot, a couple of things about HVV and stuff: 1. Saber users have stamina (blue bar near the bottom of your screen, above your health bar)! Attacking and blocking consumes hero stamina. If you're blocking or attacking constantly, you'll run out of stamina very quickly and can no longer attack or block. It can't regenerate for as long as you continue to block or attack, so you put yourself at a huge disadvantage because now you can't do anything. 2. Use your dodges a lot! It's the same thing as a dodge roll, except for heroes it's more of a quick dash. If someone is blocking a lot, use it to re-position yourself behind them or at a more advantageous angle to strike at them from behind. It's great for throwing your opponent off and, of course, you take less damage. 3. Speaking of which, attacks from behind do more damage than from the front! 4. Blocking also negates all Force-based powers, so if somebody is blocking and you try to Mind Trick / Push / Pull / Choke / whatever, it won't have an effect. Try to do it as a surprise if somebody is saber-spamming. I love watching these videos though! I hope you continue to play this for a long time!

a little trick, when in a dual, hold block while the opponent attacks. immediately when their lightsaber hits yours and immediately after the sound of them clashing happens, strike back. there’s a small window where they can’t block nor attack so it’s easy mode for duals. also always hold block while attacking!!

The parry is when the defender clicks at the same time as the attack connects. Its a shorter animation and is a near totally safe counter attack that gets the attacker before they get their guard up. Best thing to counter this is to attack then dodge immediately. Do not spam clicks because the game saves inputs and can have you swinging for an eternety before it realizes you were actually holding the block command all along. Also careful of fighting on uneven surfaces because for some reason your guard can drop randomly which can get you killed. There's actually a lot of depth to dueling, but you wont see it in full force in heroes vs villains. Hero showdown can help with that. I'm no expert, i'm not by any stretch a good duelist, but the best advice out of all of this is to not spam commands and to kinda treat it like dark souls. I just tend to parry against spammers since parrying in a solid duel is very difficult since everyone is aware of it. It becomes more about trying to slap your opponents ass or baiting them. It's also worth noting that they all have different stats, the most important one to note is the impact stamina has on playstyle. Darth Vader is basically a walking never die because of his block stamina, while kylo ren can attack for days. Bieng relentless with the right characters and more passive and methodical with others depends on the stamina values. Other than that, its all mind games. Its surprisingly fun. Fruit, in case you or anyone else was wondering, this is how you sword fight: first and foremost, during this whole process you have to be blocking, do not lift your finger off the block button or it won’t work. In order to parry a lightsaber strike, allow your enemy to hit you with their lightsaber while blocking. Immediately after you hear the blocking noise, continue to block and press the attack button at the same time. This will result in an unblockable, guaranteed hit and you yourself will be impenetrable because your block will be up the whole time. Make sure the mix in some of the abilities such as force choke and push to get a couple seconds of hits which will devastate the enemy. Do not use blaster heroes. Do NOT use blaster heroes. Just don’t.

It's all about Stamina Management. The blue bar underneath your crosshair when you attack, that's your stamina. You can hold block and also attack. That's what's happening to you guys, they're just blocking, you can block all abilities par like 1 or 2. Also level up your heroes to get better star cards, try hit them in the back for extra damage. You can use the dash to go behind blocking heroes and quickly turn to hit them in the back too.

Fruit, remember not to swing spam. Always try to do just the amount of strikes needed to kill someone, otherwise the animation will leave you vulnerable. This also goes for HvV when you’re trying to damage heroes. 1-2 swings and then pause is a good practice

So some advice for Heroes vs villians (2nd best for gaining xp...COOP is best): Watch your stamina (it right above your health) if you run out you can't swing Saber users do more dmg from behind, and all have different swing speeds and dmg Yoda middle ability regain health and removes stuns, plus his force push get more dmg and range when hit with laser (or force powers) Finns middle instant regain ability usage, reduces dmg, and disable blaster heat Stun are broken in HvV (palp, chewie, iden, lando, kylo, and phasma) Bobba and bossk are broken (legit have abilities and cards that don't work) Hope this helps!

I’m guessing the big problem here is stamina, most likely you’re running out of stamina and you need to keep a close eye on it. It’s the circle in the middle of the screen. Essentially as you block, you use stamina. As you swing the lightsaber, you use stamina. I can recommend saving your abilities until you’re low on stamina, and then using them to kill time and get it back. (Some abilities even give you all your stamina back). So essentially with Luke, do what you’re doing until that halfway point when you’re low on stamina, and then do push to knock them on the ground, get a free swing, and get stamina back. Kylo has freeze, Yoda has dashes and a push, etc... Every character has SOMETHING they can do. Also be careful when going for two swings, they can very easily punish you if you get too comfortable doing it. ^^ hope this helps you turn upp

Hey mr fruit if you want to get past a block instead of using your dash or roll to get away, dash into them to get behind them. Also different characters have different stamina for blocking so obi-wan can take about 20 swings before rulling out of stamina while grevious is the least with only about 5 needed

Hey man, i'm new to the channel and it's honestly pretty funny. I watch a video where you played CO-op and we're in the ATST with the first order on the new map which is why I bring this up and I hope these help people. Fun fact, I don't know what it is on PC I think it's E but on Xbox it's X and Play station it's square but while you're in speeders and tanks if you hold those buttons you will actually leave get out of the vehicle and spawn as the last class you used. So if you used the assault class then died and respawn as a speeder, when you get out you'll be the assault class. I never see people do this and I don't know if it's because people don't know or don't care but that's a nice way to survive Edit: more fun facts, claw rush will do an extra 30 damage if you stop the ability on the person you knocked down, it's nice for finishing off troopers or doing a bit more damage to heros. Lightsaber combat can actually be very easy, while blocking as soon as they hit you if you attack and immediately block then you'll be able to kill a very aggressive play very quickly. Lightsaber users have different stamina, example obi-wan doesn't lose as much stamina blocking as kylo ren, but kylo ren can attack for a longer period of time. Vader can deflect blaster shots better then he can lightsabers. You can probably look up all the stats and getting a better feel for the heros and how best to use them

“What am I doing wrong” I’ll help a lil. Gotta dodge more dude! Turn up your sensitivity so you can dodge behind them as they attack you, and quickly turn for a back hit. I usually run 100 soldier sens. For blasters use lower sensitivity, sure, but sabers are so different. Another thing, you can parry if you press RT as soon as you hear their saber hit yours, all while holding block. Especially if they spam you. Dodge a LOT, guys. And learn to time your dodge for invincibility frames. Never take your guard down.

Dear Mr fruit, to beat someone In a saber one v one block and the second you hear the lightsabers clash together, attack You are guaranteed to get a second attack after you hit someone unless they jump at the correct timing. In doing this CORRECTLY you will have taken no damage and done around 250 damage to the enemy. To break someone’s block either just spam swing (small brain play) or you can dodge behind them and land two swings on their back (sometimes other times they read you like a book and dodge away so you can’t get her) attacks from the back deal bonus damage. From, a big brain person who has at least 10 midichlorians

For some balance reason lightsabers don't all do the same damage. Anakin and kylo ren do some of the most base damage without the help of star cards. it is also the same for stamina cost and lightsaber swing speed, it is different for every character.

There is a parry mechanic swing into a swing to parry and try to dash behind when they block. Also on villains play dooku really good duelist and for heroes play obi wan he has good defense
