Laughing at our dog transformed into a human is worth the few extra seconds spent cropping and scaling. Under "e4e completion," change line: input_image = run_alignment(image_path) To: if(original_image.size == (256,256)): input_image = original_image else: input_image = run_alignment(image_path)

13:25 Theory: it gives outputs feminine features because only women in its sample data were wearing makeup, and makeup can be applied in a wide range of ways, and create variations in the image that are hard for it to explain otherwise. So whenever it is confused about the input image, it associates that uncertainty with makeup and with the person being a woman. Maybe adding ultraviolet and infrared channels to the training data would give more information about things like makeup and sunscreen, and give a face generating AI a better understanding of human faces and what it's supposed to be doing.

Crazy to think I’ve been watching these guys since like ‘09 (can’t remember it’s been so long) back when I found them through the Freddie Wong channel and he was the bigger star and it seemed like Freddie would just get bigger and bigger. Corridor was always my favorite. Their stuff has always been great. Glad they stuck with it and found success on their own without needing big network deals.

11:56 "He looks like a female Cloud though" Isn't that just Cloud all the time?
@juststatedtheobvious96333 жыл бұрын
It's pretty revealing about how masculinity and femininity are at least partially dependent on social context. Cloud's even able to become the fairest lady in all the land - in FF7 canon - the very first time he dresses up like a woman. It's one of his defining characteristics. And Link's not much different. Every realistic depiction since Ocarina has gone for androgynous in a way that only top tier models could pull off facially. Which makes me wonder what the AI would make of Serphiroth and Ghirahim? After all, they're supposed to be the same thing, but also a bit alien.

People don't realize the amount of man hours that go in to taking a bunch of stock images of faces on the internet and assigning descriptive keywords like "skinny, old, chubby, freckled" etc. Writing the code for this was probably the easiest part. Building a good sized database for it to learn from was probably grueling. There's a "science program" out there (that's the best way I can describe it), where you can sign up to volunteer your time to do work like this. I did one once where I had to identify animals that were captured by a "deer cam". I only put a couple hours in, but still it was tedious.
@mrknarf44383 жыл бұрын
Yup, hence why Google makes people do it via Captcha. Training an algorithm is quite easy using some high-level libraries that hide the complexity, although studying the architecture and implementing a state-of-the-art one from scratch is hellova job, usually left to very skilled people.
