I'm 12 and watched this for the first time I properly payed attention to it ,when rattling through CBBC's best dramas over the last 3 years when I just stopped watching. I ran out. I then went to youtube and could not find anything new. Then I randomly watched a video saying Wolfblood theme tune. Listened to it and something clicked in my mind like de ja vu. So knowing an old trick, I searched it up on iPlayer where you can find old shows you cannot find anywhere else on it with the intense hunch and found it. I was so into it and I had never enquired into werewolves ever before. It was a hunters moon and I could not get to sleep (rugby match next day) and watched episodes series one ep. 1-5 (My favourite episodes) and immediately became obsessed with it. Next day, in all my spare time I binged and still loved it. Then I hit series three after Maddy left and for me it lost its atmosphere. Still watched though although i just felt disappointed hoping it'd get better. (not keen on plotline ruined some of the core things that made me love the show)By series 4 I just got so annoyed by everything underlined in the vid, that I stopped watching extremely early on. Now, still obsessed (annoyingly) I just watch series 1 and 2 where the characters felt so relatable, and i loved it and still do. Here are my favourite non-big things about the show that I saw: The music and graphics of the theme Wolfblood (series 1 and 2) - I never had seen anything like it and I absolutely loved it, got me so in the mood Mr. Jeffries - funny, relatable as a teacher (I am 12) and as a person ( bigger thing. everyone was but he just is different) Bigger things: Favourite character: Maddy Werewolves: Got me so interested in them And MANY OTHERS everything in the video I agree with Im tired now so ending here

I’ve seen so many shows and movies that have enormous stakes (which leads to the main characters saving the world somehow), and I like the charm of the fist two seasons being more focused on what it’s like being a supernatural creature living in a human community that has to deal with living a double life. And the wolfbloods turn into actual wolves, which already makes it better than Teen Wolf for me, as long as the wolf animation is decent (it was in seasons 1-3 but 4 and 5 had lower quality). The stakes in the third, fourth and fifth season don’t really make sense to me. I liked the moment when the secret came out to the entire world. The fearful, oppressive response and hateful attitude from humans due to them being afraid and misinformed about wolfbloods was realistic, but the unrealistic part was that all of those issues were pretty much entirely fixed by the end of the season. As for season 3 and 5 I had some nitpicks; for example te inconsistencies (in season 2 Dr. Whitewood’s discovery proved that Wolfbloods were people whose DNA was almost half wolf- like. In season 3- 5 it’s a single gene that, apparently, can be permanently switched off, and not even just that- all people have it, in humans the gene is just already inactive). In my opinion, it would’ve been better if Wolfbloods were a true rarity like they’re made out to be in the first seasons, and that they’re not able to be turned human, not permanently anyways.

So glad it's getting the recognition it deserves! I started watching this show when I was 12. I AM 20 NOW. 😳 I loved the show because I heavely related to the vibe of growing up in a small town as an outcast and the teenage experience the characters went through.

i get what you mean about shannon being a love or hate character, but with time, I've come to appreciate her characterization. the show isn't afraid to make her flawed, she is driven to a fault, once she gets something in her head, she will not budge from it, and we see how that can be good but also bad, a lot of times she makes mistakes but always manages to fix them. there aren't a lot a characters like her i feel like, so i have a soft spot for her. and it's not like she's the only flawed character, we see all our main characters make mistakes and act irrationally based on emotions, because they're just teenagers, and still growing, they always fix everything. also disagree about the Ks, i love their inclusion, they make the show feel grounded. like our characters are off doing something supernatural, and you have the three Ks, just doing a silly sidequest at school. i appreciated also that they're the "mean girls" archetype, like in any other show, they would just be mean and antiagonistic to the main characters and just be a pain in the butt, but in this show, they're made characters in their own right, each with their own distinct personality and character arc, like most of their time on screen is not spent even interacting with the main characters, it's them just being friends and doing regular things. that's the beauty of the show to me, like yes our main characters are the wolfblood inner circle, but the world feels lived in, they have classmates they interact with that have their own lives and struggles, it feels like a real place.
