A1 and loving it. Doing my best not to upgrade to the A1 II. Really need Sony to look at Leica and try to do what they do with optics (lifelike rendering) and their physical design and software design.

I had an A6500, then A7S, then A7SIII, and now A1. The A1 is an absolute GOAT. Phenomenal photos, crazy AF, and video workhorse (4K120 and 8K30).

Baller! With all you do with and for Sony I’d hope they give you a serious discount. New level of RESPECT for you for telling us we don’t need this camera and how much you sold to make it work. Sometimes it’s hard on here when it feels like creators are trying to sell us so thanks!
@SidneyDiongzon8 сағат бұрын
Thanks! And honestly, any camera made in the last 3 years is good enough for most people!

Yeah, and it's not just a feeling, most are actually trying to sell you something, or at least they act as advertisement mediums for the product companies. Sadly, 95% of the review content (especially from bigger channels but also many small ones) has to be taken with a grain of salt these days. Product companies have hordes of commercial employees scouring social media to reach out to any content creator that will help them sell their products. Unfortunately
@SidneyDiongzon5 сағат бұрын
@ I would much rather see reviews from creators with their own perspective than a scripted 90-second commercial produced by a professional ad agency, hired by the company
@Attya-y2y4 сағат бұрын
@@SidneyDiongzon I'd also rather see reviews from creators, even when they are shilltubing, rather than the actual ad agency commercials. You can still get good info from creator reviews for sure, as long as you take them with a grain of salt and understand that their livelyhood depends on the deals they have with the companies (if they are full time content creators). In that sense, I would disagree with the "their own perspective" argument. It is partly their own perspective, true, but a good portion is altered out of professional necessity. The degree of the alteration varies from creator to creator, some stay more true to their actual real opinion of the products than others. It also depends on the products and the videos, some will be more honest in some videos because it's actually a product they like, but less in other videos where they just review a product for the deal but don't really care for that product. And as is the case for everything, there are exceptions, some creators will be 100% honest all the time. But that's what they are, exceptions, when you consider the massive amount of shilltubing taking place. And it makes sense from a pure business perspective. If a creator wants to have more opportunities of getting contacted by product companies for deals, it doesn't look good if they completely trash a product in a review even if they would think the product deserves it, or if they are just being negative about the product. Product companies want reliable allies, and if someone has a tendency of being negative about their products, they'll stop reaching out to them. At least the commercial from the ad company, you know where the bias stands. With creators, it's more tricky. But at the same time you still get better and more useful information from the creators. So I'll still go with the creators 👍

+1 for the pre-capture to not miss a moment with the kids! The OA5 also has pre-recording now. I havent tried it yet but am thinking of ways to use it similarly to pre-capture. Have you used this feature yet to capture something you otherwise would have missed?

I knew you were gonna get it. As a full-time YT'er, the A7Cii was never going to work for you with it's poor EVF and crappy rear screen. Yes, the smaller size is nice, but it comes with too many compromises (no joystick, arghhh!!)
@SidneyDiongzon4 сағат бұрын
As a KZbinr, the A7CII worked very well for me...even made over $100k worth of brand deals last year with that "smaller" camera. Would have kept it too, but I wanted to try something different this year

@@SidneyDiongzonserious question though, did you notice any difference in image quality between the a7cii and a7rv other than more megapixels? I currently have the a7cii and love it, but notice the files are a lot less flexible than my Leica Q3 dng files. I heard the a7rv has better dynamic range and detail so I was wondering if that was in line with your experience. Thanks a bunch😊
@SidneyDiongzon3 сағат бұрын
A7CII does have limitations with dynamic range for sure. A7RV really have lovely image quality
