So I FINALLY Played the NEW HOI4 DLC...

So Tommy finally got around to playing the new HOI4 DLC, Trial of Allegiance and this is his first game as Argentina in the South America DLC for Hearts of Iron 4.
Is the new DLC good? Is it bad? Is it a disappointment? Will TommyKay get banned from HOI4 after this?

Better if they don't rework them tbh - the Italy rework was terrible. It has the same reviews as this new DLC! lol They literally made the historical route for Italy the worst - Stalin loses 14 million people, doesn't get deposed. Mussolini loses 1 camel in Ethiopia, gets executed :D

Italy has one of the best focus trees in the game dude, their focus tree and the plane designer are the good things about BBA, Switzerland and Ethiopia were complete puke and i honestly dont care what the reviews say for dlcs i actually enjoy a lot of dlcs that are not well perceived by the community like battle for the Bosporus lol. If Germany and japan got a rework as good as Italy's hoi4 would be a better game its just what it is @@meganoobbg3387

Or if they didn't steal half the content of a free mod (that actually has focuses for more countries), then sell it like it's their idea. Literally going same route as Rockstar - next Hearts of iron will probly have online item and currency shop instead.

Another reason why everyone loves mods like RT56 and Kaiserreich is they dont have this annoying ass 70 days focuses wich are slowing game so much that by the time you finish political tree its 1941 (especially now when new focus trees are much larger)

It’s usually a lot of fun until you run into poorly made mechanics and game breaking bugs - so you ll only start suffering 5min into the game (unless you need something random to happen then it’s just pain from the beginning) 175/190 achievements in btw + the new ones

The one thing im happy about with this dlc is that it isn’t tying a major game rework to it like most other hoi4 dlc. A lot of people cited this as a bad thing, but whats worse? Optional side content for nations in a relatively unimportant part of the world that you can skip getting if you want, or the same thing but it has a naval rework tied to it so it is more or less mandatory to play the same game as everyone else?
