In general, many of my classmates (and me) uses chat gpt to spellcheck our essays for uni, and I've never encountered grammatical errors like that. I could be wrong of course, but I think it was human written. Either that, or it was written by AI in another language and then google translated. So yeah, in short: AI has better grammar then that, I think.

And finding the money for the Patreon might not be as big of an issue as may think it is, as those minors probably pay for it with the money they earn from summer jobs, using teen credit cards their banks provide for them. I honestly agree. I don't mind the use of AI in this comic, or anywhere for that matter really, as long as it's disclosed to be AI generated. If the artist want to use AI to quickly make the art and not waste time & money on a professional artist, so be it, and save their funds on writing the story itself, with all the paneling, scripting and beta readers it takes. But at least have the decency then to let people know the art was made by a machine or whatever, so they can focus on your (hopefully human made) writing of the story itself, and not waste their time admiring the art that doesn't carry any artistic value in it.

I'm not calling the average person that uses AI art a thief, but the way it is made is theft. @@keeperofthenerd6694 IDK how to tell you this, but the way AI generators are trained is no different then how any other human artist is trained too. by "taking other people's art", AI is simply LOOKING at the works scraped for it from the internet, and studies the patterns, colors, textures and linework present in those works. Or in other words, it uses the scraped art as references to the images it generates. What AI DOESN'T do is to copy- paste elements from the art it's referencing, nor it tracing any existing art directly into the works it generates, which would be actual theft as you are trying to present it as. Referencing someone else's art is NOT theft or plagiarism, whether it's done by a human or a machine. And if it was theft, then every single human artists who ever lived would have been guilty of it. What you are referring to be "AI art theft" is the process of scraping images from the internet itself. But the thing about it is that it's NOT done by the Ai generator tool itself, and it's not part of the process of the art generation. The scraping ironically enough is done by actual humans, aka the programmers who operate the AI tool, via special search tools programs that collect the images for the AI to be trained on. In other words, AI isn't maliciously traversing art blogs in search for new art to feed on or whatever. It's just an innocent program which is fed by works that were taken by it's creators, who on their term could have collected that art in malicious ways. That said, I would agree that artists scamming people with AI art commission is bad, and is likely some kind of illegal act too. I would not put any blame on the AI generators themselves for that, however I would put it on the people who use it as easy get rich scheme. That is why I told you that we should stop hating on AI tools for "stealing art" or whatever, as they are just incapable of doing so by the writing of their programs. Rather we should focus on people who use AI tools for malicious proposes, and actually do actively steal money through it.
