Problem is, people use this excuse to defend the media itself. Look at Twilight, it does a lot of problematic stuff, like portraying stalking as romantic and acceptable, Justifying Abusive behavior as romantic, being openly sexist and racist, etc.. And yet people defend it because “it’s made for girls”, or use excuses like everyone criticizing it “Hates Teenage Girls and Women”. Meanwhile, when something like My Hero Academia gets popular amongst young boys, the same people who defend Twilight jump out to criticize it for being problematic. Both are Problematic for different reasons, but one gets defended to hell and back.

@@maxroti1273 What he means is that teenage girls are still developing, physically and mentally, and they’re gonna think problematic stuff is okay if the narrative of the story they’re reading is glamorizing it. He’s not blaming the audience, he’s blaming the creators for influencing them into thinking it’s okay. When he says “dumb hormonal enraged preteen girls”, it’s really the truth. Preteen and teenage girls really are dumb and hormonal (boys too), and they’re usually the target demographic for this type of stuff to get popular.

You should review Kawanocy's webcomic Little May's vampire. It caused a massive scandal on webtoon that it got taken off: the protagonist vampire adopts a human girl, later marries her (Usagi drop again). The author tried defending himself by listing other groomer stories and said they are popular in Asia and integral to his culture (which is BS because he was called out by several Asians). A youtuber named Rin already discussed Kawanocy's creepy stuff.

There's also a video in response defending Kawanocy. If I remember correctly, it's confirmed to be a coping mechanism for the creator and the little girl is the self insert. But I'm kinda split between the whole ordeal. I'm never going to read it so I'll probably never have the full context. It's a weird concept of a comic but there's probably more behind the making

I am friends with people with that issue and it is not fun or hot or whatever; it really messes even with their sleeping schedule at times because they end up waking up a lot to go and pee.

For princess's jewel, I don't even mind that she's a very lustful person or that she is lecherous or what not... I've had my fair share of lecherous guys and ladies in different stories, I've seen what such characters can be if they're actually written well and they can be a whole lot of interesting, fun and lovable. But this story's issues is that the characters are generally underwhelming, They have personalities but don't feel like people. They all feel so fake that it's frustrating, Even the execution of the story is so poor that I wish I could cry. She is an underwhelming one-dimensional mary-sur character and everyone just lives her for no reason, NO MATTER WHAT SHE DOES!!! She does nothing to deserve what she gets, it's like she's in a gacha game where you just spin and win characters. Then the author puts the challenge setting to kindergarten level of easy, no real challenge, no sensible dialogue, no fleshed out relationships, the other characters just seem to exist for her use, the plot development and fam service, as such no one even as little as questions her. It's frustrating honestly I'd be more convinced by this story if half way in they just make a turn and say that she's actually a witch or demon child that puts everyone under her spell

Hey would you check out this webtoon called (The Other) at first I thought it was a story with magic and such but later on as I read it just got progressively worst like at first I thought the mc would start liking his classmate like a few others in the comments but the story makes it look like it's not that way and that he as a 16 year old boy will be with this older guy from another dimension thats tide down to him...also I tried asking the age of the guy since they mention that he can't die and been living very long but I didn't get answers just downvotes...nd I kid you not if you just press (chapter 3 part 6) the guy takes possession of the boy when the boy was feeling pressured to kiss this girl and he made the boy take her underwear off or at least try to...she also felt somewhat pressured when kissing him and as that happened she pulled away and he snapped out of it but it was not where I thought the story was going...

Wait I don't get the hate I'm seeing for these comments on Lore Olympus. Am I missing something or is it because the writer decided the change the story and not full use the Greek Mythology for each characters? I've been reading it for a year now, and while the characters aren't exactly the same as the Greek mythology, the story sometimes comes off as okay or decent. Not great or breath taking, but just simply a story being told by modernizing the gods and changing the designs of some characters

She purposely changed the god persephone's age to younger than every god for the sake of her admitted fetish. In the mythos other gods are stated to be younger than her, she is older than most if zeus' kids. The author flipped out on a fan for liking and cosplaying mynthe then proceeded to pile drive the character into the ground. How she erases asexual goddesses and representation to be hypocritical woman having an affair.
