To be fair to PBG, sometimes the blessing shrines appear after doing a really simple or small task and sometimes you do a huge quest and get a normal puzzle shrine. They're kind of all over the place.
@Nat_the_Chicken Жыл бұрын
@@Iaconacoalsaurus I feel like most of the latter cases were either Champions' Ballad, or thematic, like Greedy Hill being after the rock roast quest or the Spring of Power being a Major Test of Strength. Plus the Thundra Plateau one, which was more of a catharsis shrine than a puzzle shrine, it was like "here, take out your frustration by smashing all these blocks to bits." In terms of the former, yeah there were a couple that they just put in caves with rocks in front of them and said "hey this is pretty hard to find right?" when the Sheikah Sensor exists. But at least in most cases where the quest was actually very difficult and involved, you got a blessing shrine, which I think is the most important thing design-wise. If they actually had all been puzzle shrines that would have been frustrating imo.

Actually, the "Blessing" Shrines are only behind challenges done in the overworld. For Example, Eventide is a challenge, and you get a blessing so you don't have to do ANOTHER puzzle after already completing the other challenge. 3 more examples are the Mazes. Once you complete the Mazes, you get a Blessing Shrine.
@ajfrommillay37663 жыл бұрын
Except some are after things that aren't really challenging. Like "Oh, you blew up some rocks to find this shrine?" Way to go! Here's some stuff.
@scarffoxandfriends94013 жыл бұрын
@@ajfrommillay3766 I think that happens twice. And the one in the desert loses any reason once the devine beast is gone. @nicocchi3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's inconsistent. More often than not, blessing shrines are hidden behind an overworld puzzle. Sometimes is hard, sometimes it's simple. And if there's an overworld puzzle, sometimes is a blessing shrines sometimes it's a puzzle shrine too. I don't really mind it honestly since again, 120 of them, and also they're quick satisfaction when you want to upgrade your stamina. I'm very intrinsically motivated so just finding stuff is its own reward.

@TheBabaloga3 жыл бұрын
Just a small note: the "blessing" shrines are for when the puzzle is outside the shrine, like the mountain one where you have to roll a snowball down a hill to open a door to the shrine. There's no puzzle inside because the puzzle is reaching the shrine.

So my ass is broke till next year or Tears gets a major price drop sale which I doubt anytime soon this year) so since I bought the Expansion pass AFTER beating it on the WiiU all those years back (100% that) for my Switch version on MASTER MODE (As I said 100% it, so I'll be 100% it again WITH the expansion stuff as I never got to try any of that back on the WiiU) Right Now I'm finishing up Xenoblade 3, going to play the Future Redeemed likely tomorrow, Finish up my 5th Fire Emblem Engage playthrough AND my Silver Snow playthrough on 3Houses before I do so (Cause I want to 100% Master Mode BEFORE July when Pikmin 4 comes out!) But yeah, you never "complete" forget everything, but you forget "ENOUGH" that you still get that sense of "New" from when you first played it! Especially as I pointed out, 1st run was on normal, now second run is on Master Mode! (I'm only using the "Tips" document I made for myself when I played the WiiU to give myself "hints" as I made it back then EXACTLY for the day I play anew to keep things fresh, whatever I benefit or fail to understand my own "Vague Hints" is on me! @7:00 it's kinda nice though because the free shrines normally invoice something complicated to reach them. And then sometimes you do something in a completely non-linear fashion and get to one of those shrines really easily and it's such a pleasant surprise.

As someone who has played the game for a very long time, I've found that some of the most entertaining parts of the game are the glitches. Like any other big, open world game, there are a ton of fun glitches that completely break the game, such as launching from one side of the map to the other in 20 seconds, moon jump, and duping items(I have 7 hylian shields in my inventory).
@reigjinokou70353 жыл бұрын
@6:50 One thing I will mention about the blessing shrines is that most (I do believe there's at least one exception) require a puzzle/challenge to encounter them in the first place (Eventide Isle, for example). So while the shrines themselves are boring, if they weren't, it would be "Hey! Congrats on completing that puzzle/challenge. As for your reward, you may attempt ANOTHER puzzle/challenge," which would be, at least a little, disheartening. So the couch comment is misleading or something like that.

My favorite part about this game is how people are still finding new stuff in it even 4 years later. Like you can feed the cows! Or the big circle-shaped hole in Mt. Hylia was probably caused by a Divine Beast laser! Or all the Zonai shit! It's *insane* how much stuff they packed into one game

I do hope the sequel will be the return of classic dungeons, bosses and items. Those are the things I missed the most in BotW. Oh, and the ability to swim underwater would be good too! It would actually give me a reason to explore the vast ocean along the entire East edge of the map.

If you see a korok spot way out of the way, try marking it on your map, and coming back to it later when you're actually headed in that direction. That way, you don't follow a massive trail of korok distractions and completely sideline your current objective.
