Temporal Scout 41 report: this new base is quite large and easy to get lost in, but that makes it very easy to hide. Subject Zedaph has built a small elevator system in the mansion. It hearkens back to a historical small elevator called a dumbwaiter, where food would be delivered from a kitchen area on one floor to a dining room on another floor in just such a dwelling. The affluent owners had employees that cooked and served the food, and the "dumbwaiter" was just that...a dumb waiter, as opposed to a human one. As the arrival of the Hermits a year ago is technically about 300 years before our first recorded use of the dumbwaiter, I believe that the ruins of this mansion will be unearthed during our industrial age, and the dumbwaiter will be used due to this discovery. I must still covertly observe the former base for developments in the aquatic evolution, but the distance between the two is a problem. I must obtain a pair of these flying wings...

I really like this base swap thing. It gets the smaller hermits (like Zedaph, no offence) advertised by the bigger hermits (like Grian). E.g. this video has 95k views now, while Zedaph's last video (1 week ago) now has 79k views (still an amazing amount). Zedaph, I don't know if Grian mentioned this to you off camera, but in the lower entryway to the mansion there's maps of the area. Grian has been occasionally making maps of the jungle, locking them, and putting them up on the wall as a record. This base swap was a really good idea by Mumbo (If it is not his thing It would be the biggest plot twist in the whole world lmao). I never watched a Zedaph's vid! It's really complicated to watch a new hermit because you kinda get caught in the middle of everything, and get lost. But swapping bases I can know them without getting lost on his ongoing projects. Well, I know Iskall (and I think Mumbo) included their Industrial Districts, Iskall included his gold farm, Tango's base is chock-full of farms (although they are inarguably in his base rather than subsidiary plots), etc. etc., but it is up for debate whether or not it's necessary. Hermits will likely err on the side of fun (which in this case means maximise the size of the trade).

The mansion has lots of potential but is in need of some modernisation. Zedaph is the perfect person to take on this project. I love the lift, but it also needs a paternoster (I'll wait while you go and google what that is if you didn't know already .....). Also, there's lots of room for friends to stay. Your solution to Grian’s up/down problem was done elegantly and very zedaphy. This is one of my favourite episodes ever. I really do agree that the lines on the barrells look like chains. As fun this comment may be intended to be, it's actually the possible sad truth. Grian is probably not going to do anything useful/massive and just gonna, like, *SHWOOP!* "ha ha secret bases/Keralis games ha ha funny content" and then going to give Zed his base back like he never touched it. I just think this is a bad tendency of his: messing with others and making profit to himself, but not so much for others, when Zedaph just straight up accepted this base as a challenge of sorts and a possibility to do fun stuff with, when for Grian Zed's base is just a dead weight. Of course i could be wrong and if Grian gonna beautify Zedaph's base like no one can then i'm will be happy to be wrong but... yeah, we'll see.
