So I Just Finished the Entire Metal Gear Franchise...

One quick thing regarding the ending of Metal Gear Solid V (Spoiler warning). I know about the whole unfinished thing regarding the main plot and how it's been uploaded to KZbin (the unfinished mission 51). And frankly, It simply does not bother me that we didn't get it in the final game. All I needed was to *watch* and get to know what happens with Eli and co. I didn't need to PLAY any of that becuz there's already more than enough to PLAY in this game. I just needed to see it wrap up and I saw it through KZbin and I'm fine with it. My take on the whole matter. Enjoy the video.

Yoji Shinkawa, the character/mech designer and the guy that draws the covers, is one of my favorite artists ever in all of comic book/character designer history. His designs are outstanding and his art itself is gorgeous. If only that big Metal Gear art book wasn't so expensive.

Welcome to the fandom friend. Been a fan of these games most of my life. My friend showed me msg 2. And this was like fascinating to me. 3 had just come out. So I went back and played the first one. MGS4 had to be the way it is to tie up all the loose ends (in a satisfying way) that were presented in the previous games. And it did so perfectly 10/10. Many great stories are not able to do that as they go on Star wars, Game of Thrones.. etc. The problem with MGS4 was never the too much cutscenes. It was the too little gameplay.

I just beat them all again also, easily my favorite game franchise of all time. I played them all as they came out when I was a kid, but this is the first time I played every game back to back like that, it was awesome. I really hope to see a MGS1 remake down the line, and it would also be awesome to see remakes of the classic Metal Gear 1 and 2 games.

About Peace Walker, you can mod it to enable Right Analog Aim and 60 fps, the latter at least on PPSSPP. Its a whole different game.

Metal Gear 4 killed my interest in the franchise. I always say I watched Metal Gear 4. I never say that I played it. God, those cut scenes were god awfully long and it seemed to me that they became more frequent and longer the further you advanced. If I had at least liked the story. It had new ideas that were ultimately wasted because THERE WASN'T ENOUGH GAME THAT YOU COULD ACTUALLY PLAY!!! Excluding absolute crap games, Metal Gear 4 was one of the worst "gaming" experiences of the last 15+ years for me (Dragon Age Inquisition is close). And dont get me started on that ending. I don't remember too much to get into details, but what I do remember is that I thought alright, let's watch these watch that ending and go buy some groceries that I needed. It kept going. And it kept going. And it wouldn't stop. Kojima (curse his name) still wasn't done yet...............I think you won't be able to buy those groceries you wamted because everything has closed by now...........got sooo pissed of. Of course, it was my fault for not just getting the groceries but who in their right mind was expecting a 80-90 minute ending??? I was expecting it too bw over any minute after, I don't know, the first 30 minutes? I didn't like Metal Gear 2's story, but at least it had a GAME that you could play, and I did that several times. I only played Metal Gear Rising because the gameplay intrigued me and looked fun. I really enjoyed it, even got the platinum trophy for it and it made me finally like Raiden. I didn't touch anything else besides the four games and Rising because of Metal Gear 4. As to Kojima, I only tried Death Stranding because I got it for free. I was expecting the worst, but to my surprise I ended up enjoying it overall. So maybe not all is lost. Sorry for the rant 😅

Title is a bit misleading. You only completed every mainline Metal Gear Solid game. And you only played games that had the word ‘Solid’ in them. So you missed out on the first two mainline games in the series, which tie directly into MGS1 and Solid Snake’s character development. There are also the countless spin-offs you didn’t play. So in conclusion you should retitle the video to something like “So I just finished every mainline Metal Gear Solid game.”
